“No frills, honest Andalusian cooking.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2014

It's easy to walk past this place and to think that it is closed, as what should be a restaurant garden has no tables outside. On entering, however, we were greeted by the sight of lots of local people- workers, families, and the odd tourist tucking into the menu del dia. The list of main dishes was huge- lots of grilled meats and fish, with stews and game. The food came in large quantities, so it's important to come with an appetite. They are open from early morning until 18:00, so unfortunately they are not open for dinner. No English is spoken, so it is necessary and courteous to try to speak Spanish.

“Simple local good home cooking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2013

Had the pork with tomatoes at the recommendation of a local who said it was the best he'd ever tasted. He wasn't wrong. Good value, decent portions. Not touristy, but friendly even if you don't speak Spanish very well.

“Great spanish experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

As the other reviews said, great atmosphere full of local spanish families and workers having lunch (it looked closed outside so we had walked past a few times before plucking up the courage). Our spanish limited and they didn't speak english but we worked it out and enjoyed every bit of it!

“Noisy, chaotic, very local spanish.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

Excellent food, presented at very high speed by slightly fraught staff to the background din of spanish families doing the same. Calm and relaxed this is not. Local food, done cheaply and simply this is. Not a place for an evening with the girlfriend... but an excellent stop for beer and a spot of lunch.

“Hola again, Anita!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

Love the atmosphere, the welcome (even if you don't speak a word of Spanish) and the excellent value food. At lunchtime the menu del dia is varied and comes in HUGE portions, and in the evenings, tapas at a euro each are a great innovation. I especially liked the lengua one - tongue!
