Our last getaway before the baby arrives and we had a wonderful time in Woodstock. Inn Keepers are very kind, and inn is immaculate! Very excellent breakfasts---compliments to the chef.
Excellent dinner at Simon Pearce. If you're travelling during peak foliage season, you could definitely do a little research of the restaurants you would like to dine at and make reservations! They all fill up fast. We heard a lot about the Prince and Pauper right in the center of Woodstock, but there was no availability. We attempted this much too late on a Saturday night and we'll know better next time.

Woodstock is lovely and so is this inn!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights at this sweet B+B. Evelyn, the owner, was kind, helpful, interesting, and knowledgable.
The 3-course, homecooked breakfast was beyond expectations, with imaginitive recipes and local ingredients.
Our king feather bed was so comfortable, it felt like home.
The Inn is in the heart of a beautiful Vermont town with excellent shopping, galleries and dining. We were on a 5 state vacation, and I can honestly say the food in this town was the best anywhere we went.
I was glad we chose this Inn over others we looked at in Woodstock as it was a walk to everything in town, and sits next to a nice organic grocery store. Others were further out.
Don't miss Simon Pearce's glass blowing and shop - and the restaurant which had excellent food and sits out over the waterfall in Quechee.
I would recommend this Inn to anyone wanting to have the true B+B experience with excellent food and hosts in a unique New England town.

We stayed at the Village Inn of Woodstock (Room 1) in June of 2007. We had a wonderful stay. The room was great (one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in). The bathroom was also marvelous (our first experience with a double-headed shower—which is an experience well worth having). We also really enjoyed spending time with David and Evelyn (the innkeepers). They could really serve as models for what good B&B innkeepers should be (warm, personable, and full of information). The breakfasts were superb (everything from the eggs to the pastries to even the granola were all quite tasty). We also enjoyed some play time with Alfie (the new Dachshund puppy in the house—Evelyn and David don’t keep their two dogs out in the main house, but when they found out that we were real dog people, they brought them out for some play time with us). We will definitely stay at this establishment again.

My husband surprised me with a weekend getaway at this amazing b&b. Awesome rooms, terrific hosts, and the best breakfast ever! I had a huge waffle one morning, and my husband loved Evelyn's granola. The next day David's entree was a quiche with lobster and wild mushrooms. I don't eat shellfish, so I ordered eggs that were poached perfectly. We were in Room 5 - loved the romance and privacy.

“Yummy Breakfast!”

The Innkeepers were great! The B&B and furnishings are beautiful; however, it is located on the main thoroughfare in Woodstock, which provided a great deal of road noise. Also, many of the rooms are on the 3rd floor, so be prepared to carry luggage up 3 flights of stairs.
