“The Charleston House B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2012

OMG the breakfast is worth the trip. Dixie & Willa are the most gracious hosts. The room was superb as was the location to the shops & resteraunts in Woodstock. Everything was clean and up to date. Beautiful house and so much more better than the Woodstock Inn.

Lovely b&b, delightful hosts, within walking distance to everything you'd want, delicious sumptuous breakfasts, quiet, comfy rooms. We stayed for 3 nights and loved it. The bathrooms were stellar. Don't forget to meet the cat. We loved meeting the other guests, as well. We even got a free upgrade...thank you!

Room Tip: We stayed in a room with a deck and extra sitting area. We used the rooms called B&B, and The S...

We went to Woodstock for our marriage ceremony and were wonderfully received and spoiled by Willa and Dixi, the owners and hosts of Charleston House. Perfect location for walking to everywhere in Woodstock, Willa's breakfasts are delicious, conversation is always interesting, they are warm and generous hosts. The accomodations are beautifully appointed, the beds so comfortable. We had a lovely time in Woodstock, and Willa and Dix made it so much more special. Everything was just perfect. Thank you so much.

Room Tip: We stayed in the B & B Room... simply the best with a private deck off the back.

II just returned from a two day visit in Woodstock, VT.

I stayed at the Charleston House B&B. It is a handsome red brick house (1830s I think) right in the village of Woodstock. It is nicely decorated, spotless, and convenient to the village. I stayed in the Mount Tom room which was very comfortable and attractive.

I often left the car at the Inn and wandered around town. It is run by a very nice couple who have owned it for 14 years. I would definitely stay there again.

Also, had a super meal at the Prince and the Pauper in Woodstock.

What a delightful place with delightful hosts! Although this Inn is not fancy it is very reasonably priced and our breakfast was very tasty and beautifully presented. It was terrific being right in the village and not having to drive to shop or dinner. We will definitely revisit this little gem of an Inn.

There were many things we liked about this Bed and Breakfast. One of the nicest if you enjoy walking/hiking is that it is right in town so that walking to a restaurant for dinner or shopping/browsing was within a few blocks. The Billings Farm & Museum and the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park were just on the other side of the river and were well within walking distance. We did an evening hike through the park and then stopping in town for dinner. We had a wonderful time. The park was closed but we could tell there were many snow shoe trails waiting for the snows. We had the Mount Peg room. Was fun to climb the little steps to get into bed and the fireplace was very inviting. Breakfast was a delight, quiche, fruit, blueberry muffin, sausage, coffee, juice. Very well prepared. We drove out to the Sugarbush Farm which felt like a ways on little roads, but beautiful country, great cheese and maple syrup tasting. The self guided tours were interesting especially for us who had never been to New England before.
