“As featured in the Boston Globe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2006

This Italian resturant has recently moved upstairs in the same location, and if anything it now has an even better atmosphere. It has been reviewed in the Boston Globe on May 31st 2006 and delivers everything you would expect with style. The food choices are often limited as everything is cooked fresh. Many local suppliers are used and it is my favourite Woodstock resturant. The wine list is excellent and the home made bread is worth making the trip. How you make breads so crisp and tasty defies me!

Do try it!!!

“A charming Italian Restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2005

We were staying in Woodstock,VT and saw a restaurant called Osteria Pane e Salute. It is opened Thursday through Monday.

There is a fixed price dinner for $36.50 which includes a choice of one from three Antipasti, one of three Primi, one of three Secundi, and one of three Dolce. Each course was delicious. Our Antipasta was a Ricotta Fritata over baby Arugula doused with olive oil. Primi could be a vegtable Risotto or pasta with a mushroom sauce. Secundi we had was a chicken garlic dish with potatoes and a vegtable. Dessert was Gelato. The portions of the fixed price dinners are reduced and are well sized.

Also interesting idea is that they will open any bottle of wine they sell if patron will buy two glasses. Waitresses were knowledgeable about the wine selections (about 40 choices). The staff was pleasant. gracious and best of all, enjoyed our enjoyment of the dinner.
