Suppose you dream of the perfect dining experience:
Your host greets you warmly, and shows you to a lovely table in a beautifully lit, simple but elegant small room. The menu is explained, carefully. If you want help choosing a wine, your host will match you up, magnificently (and, if you're single, you'll wish this is how a dating service would work).
Your food will come out and each dish will be beyond anything you could imagine. The courses will unfold. You will have time to experience every taste, every flavor. All the vegetables have been grown by Caleb, the chef, and Deirdre, the host, at their farm. They don't taste like any vegetables you've ever had before. This is, you imagine, what vegetables taste like in heaven.
Your wine will be superb. Dessert will be superb. You will feel full, but not stuffed. It will all feel perfect. Your host will bid you a fond adieu.
Then you will wake up...or, you will float out of the front door of Pane e Salute, where Deirdre and Caleb have created one of the finest food experiences you're likely to enjoy in your lifetime.
Just note: if you want to do this in real life, instead of your dreaming life, make a reservation well in advance, and remember that they're open for dinner Thursdays-Sunday nights.
