“Wonderfully unique old fashioned small town diner. Loved it.”
Happy to report that this remains what others have written. This is a tiny local diner, built on site, only open for breakfast and early lunch. The food is great, and very much like your grandmother made it. The prices have been coming up through the years, so that part isn't nostalgically unchanged. Not unreasonable, though. This is probably closer to what diners were like in the 1920s than in the 50s. I've driven by many times at a typical breakfast hour, and knew I wouldn't get in because there were too many cars around. You can't get ten people in here comfortably. This time, I came at an odd hour, and only one truck outside. Success, and an enjoyable breakfast. Vermonters are known for their independence of spirit. In that way this is the perfect Vermonters diner. Fashion can come and go, but this place remains timeless. You probably won't see the folks from the Woodstock Inn here. And that's the way we like it.
