We spent 2 nights here from Oct. 21st through the 23rd. Even though the foliage was past-peak, we really enjoyed our stay in the Woodstock region and loved the Deer Brook Inn. David and George are remarkably personable and accommodating proprietors. They repeatedly went out of their way to assist us and make us feel at home. In fact, both evenings we were there, George maintained a roaring fire in the common room’s fireplace. Breakfast and coffee was excellent both days. With regards to outings, we enjoyed Sugarbush Farm, loved the Harpoon Brewery (lunch) and Longtrail Brewery (dinner) and dinner at Mangowood (a 5 minute drive from the B&B) was truly spectacular. If you want a B&B which is in the town of Woodstock itself or a B&B which is within walking distance of anything, you should book a different B&B. But as long as you have a car, the Deer Brook Inn is a perfect choice.
