We had a wonderful "girls weekend" at the Deer Brook Inn. George was so nice, making us feel very welcome, even though we arrived late! Our room was pretty, cozy and clean and the gourmet breakfasts were delicious. George was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us great advice on what to see and where to eat. I will definitely go back in the future!

We just returned from a beautiful long weekend at the Deer Brook Inn, but our stay really began before we even arrived. A few weeks before our arrival, I spoke to David (one of the wonderful innkeepers) about restaurants and things to do. He helped me to plan a weekend full of delicious food, amazing sights and great shopping. Though David was out of town during our stay, George (the other innkeeper) more than made up for his absence with engaging conversation and incredible breakfasts. As for the inn itself, our room was large, comfortable and well-decorated. We would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the Woodstock, VT area.

Breakfast was delicious; the room was roomy and relaxing; and the hosts made us feel comfortable and at home. Thanks for a great night at the Inn. When we travel that way again, we would love to make your place part of our trip.

My wife and I were touring New England and spent 2 nights at Deer Brook Inn. We had booked accommodation there some time ago and had already gained a good first impression from the helpful nature of our email exchanges e.g. excellent directions, detailed comments on local restaurants (type, distance, price etc.) and an offer to book tables for us (we were there at the height of the leaf-peeping season).

On arrival, we were charmed by George's welcome and delighted with the thoughtful and tasteful decor of the place. Our room had all the comforts we required and breakfast was beautifully prepared and served by David - he even gave us his recipes for us to try out back home.

Both George and David were very informative about where to go and what to do; they were delightful to talk to on a whole range of issues, especially those relating to life in USA compared with UK etc.

We wished we'd been staying longer and would unhesitatingly recommend Deer Brook inn. I don't know if we'll ever get back to Woodstock, but if we do, we know where we'll stay - as long as George and David are still there.
