“Bike riders feast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2012

Stopped here for our anniversary dinner after a 34 mile bike ride on the rolling hills of Vermont. The Tapas of cheese lollipops were delicious for starters. The main meals were great. We had the daily specials. Topped off the meal with the coconut cream cake. Absolutely the best ending to a tired body. The service was also quick and very friendly. Thank you for a great anniversary outing!

“a yummy surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2012

I didn't expect a Caribbean restaurant in small town Vermont, but all the appetizers we got were very good.

“Truly the closest experience to being in the Carribean's!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2012

This was our first dining experience at Melaza and it was way beyond our expectations! The appetizers, drinks, main entree's and our waiter Peter were all amazing. We will definitely be telling our of our friends about our experience and will be returning as well. Nothing about the owners food is mis-represented. This was the real deal...very authentic cuisine that you just cannot put your fork down, no matter how full you think you are. Lastly, the atmosphere of the newly created upper deck patio that David created and built himself is like an oasis. Nice and quiet with a unique ambience. TEN STARS!!!!!

“A taste of the islands in Vermont”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2012

From a very creative chief comes some wonderful carribian food and some great drinks including my favorite "ablack and stormy". The menu changes often and you always find 4 or 5 you will love. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. The best in Woodstock.

“Am I really in Vermont ?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2012

We have been traveling to Woodstock for more than thirty years. However, there has been a four year lapse since our last visit. Wow, what happened? Gone are many of the old fashioned turkey and roast beef eateries. In there place are exciting new venues like Melaza. I felt like I was at a high end place in Old San Juan.
Dine here to savor the flavors and colors of the Carribean. The additional good news is the prices are very fair and reasonable for the quality and location of the restaurant. A 'Don't miss" if you find yourself in the lovely town of Woodstock Vermont.
