“A fun relaxing weekend day trip.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

It was a blast and as a girl who grew up in Wisconsin, I have to admit that they had some pretty good cheddar cheese. It was great to have some one explain the differences between the different grades of maple syrup and what determines the different grades. However, it was the cheese that would bring me back again. They had 14 different cheeses to try including an 8 year old cheddar. It was amazing. Their 72 month old cheddar was a close second being so creamy. They also had sage, jalapeño, blue, horseradish, and so much more. Once you thought you were done, you go into another room with about as many other jams and mustards to try.

We went and saw the sugar house, but it wasn't all too exciting. It's too bad that we've had such bad weather because they have a nature trail which looked like it would be a fun walk, but that day was way too slippery. I may have to go back and try it out some time... and pick up some more cheese.

“Cheeeeese!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

This place is a hidden gem! Cool and informative, not to mention filling! Lots of free samples and reasonably priced stuff to take with you. We bought some cheese and meat, then had a nice picnic on our way home.

“Num, num!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

Friendly staff, great cheese, great maple syrup!

Make sure to check the directions before you head up as the covered bridge near Taftsville was knocked out by Irene. The Quechee covered bridge just re-opened last week. If coming from Woodstock, there is an alternate route available if one takes the 12 up to Old River Road.

“Working farm with great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

Visited on drive up from NY to Montreal. Well worth the detour - spent a lot of time browsing the great food especially the cheeses and maple syrup. Interesting walk around the farm. We sent some treats to our relatives in S.Carolina and were sad our luggage allowance didn't let us bring more home to the UK. Saved our 48month cheese for Christmas - worth waiting for!

“No 13 Cheese is the best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012

But all the cheeses are great. Since my first visit back in 2007, I've been stopping here at least once per winter before hitting up Simon Pierce for cheese soup.

You get to sample all the cheese, syrups, jams and mustards. Really a great time all around. You can also do a small hike and check out the farm.

Twice a year I order online to send my dad a box full of yummy treats.

Well worth the stop on your way to or from Killington!
