“Perfect for Families with Young Children”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2014

We live in Norwich, Vermont, and for years we had a yearly membership at Billings Farm so we could take our young children there whenever we wanted. We spent many hours there exploring the farmhouse, sampling cider, watching the cows be milked, petting the calves, walking around the grounds, visiting the museum exhibits, enjoying learning about the history of the farm, and so on. There are hours and hours of things to do there, and lots to keep all members of the family interested and engaged. Furthermore, Billings Farm is in a beautiful, tranquil rural Vermont setting. Your blood pressure will go down just by being there.

“Educational”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2014

Learned a lot about farming, forestry, and natural beauty. They have activities from learning to sheer sheep, to going on a winter sleigh ride. There is something interesting to do for all ages!

“A great experience of (a Gentleman's) farm life in days gone by....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2014

I never lived on a farm. I liked the opportunity to get an up-close experience. The people that presented information in each barn did a great job, and I had ample time to ask questions after their talk. I know this type of farm was quite different than the typical farm of its day, but I still had a great time here December 28, 2013

“Fun whether summer or winter!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2014

We recently visited the Billings Farm over the Christmas break. What a picturesque farm to visit in winter! Our four kids (ages 5, 7, 7, 9) had a great time making hand-dipped candles, riding the horse-drawn sleigh, drinking hot spiced cider (free), riding Jack-Jumpers (a single ski with a seat), and, of course, seeing the cows and horses and other farm animals.

This was our second trip to the farm. We also visited here during the summer about 5 years earlier and the kids had a blast then too. Summer activities included a wagon ride and churning butter.

The farm is located near the town of Woodstock, VT, which is also beautiful year-round, and across the street from the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Park.

Most everything is on the ground floor and can be easily accessed with a wheelchair.

“educational and very fun!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

We saw cattle, chickens, sheep and learned a lot about how the family who settled Woodstock lived. Make sure to ask a lot of questions at the owner's house. Very fun and educational spot!
