After a very long, hot and tiring day, we arrived to a warm welcome and a cold Alhambra beer + G&T. We stayed in the Sultan Boabdils Chamber, which is the most atmospheric hotel room we have ever stayed in.
Dinner and drinks were served on the beautiful patio next to a small but inviting pool.
This place is perfect for chilling-out, as Benahavis village has not been ruined by tourism, despite its popularity, and the welcome/atmosphere at the Amanhavis is enough to evaporate all the stress of 21st century life !!
Our 2 nights was simply not enough. We will return !!!

We stayed at Amanhavis for two nights in the Sultan's room... it was beautiful. The attention to detail was second to none and the whole experience was wonderful. We ate in the restaurant and it was excellent. This hotel is a family run affair with service and attention 1st class. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who requires relaxation. Also it is close to the tourist spots of Marbella but behind the door of Amanhavis is a beautiful peaceful oasis...In fact we are visiting again this year with friends. I can't sing my praises enough for this small hotel.

This is a beautiful little hotel with a world class restaurant... an oasis in the concrete desert of the Marbella area. Go and stay before Benahavis loses its rural feel. We had the Sultan Boabdil room; full of character and attention to detail, for around 120 euros. The courtyard, pool and roof terrace are all gorgeous, and we enjoyed being practically the only hotel guests at the time. We loved the friendliness of the staff and owners.

This little gem has 9 rooms, each individually renovated and furnished based on Andalucian themes. The attention to detail from the huge antique keys and 'trap-doors' in the rooms, to the Moorish mosaics, set this place in a league apart from the other 2 hotels we stayed at while we in Andalucia. And the food... aiyaiyai.... superb gourmet fare, beautifully flavoured and complemented by peach champagne... no wonder Amanhavis' restaurant has been voted one of the top 10 in Andalucia. Amanhavis is a family affair, and we count ourselves fortunate to have had personal time with Leslie, Berkhardt and their 2 beautiful daughters. Nestled in a little village in the hills, Amanhavis is a rare gem that is surrounded by golf courses yet close enough to get to Marbella and other towns in Andalucia quite easily. We'll definitely be back in the not too distant future.
