“A Wonderful Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago via mobile

Where do I start? My wife and a friend stayed and dined in Amanhavis hotel in mid July. What a truly beautiful place.A small intimate boutique hotel in the pretty village of Benahavis. All rooms have a theme,we stayed in the Sultans room.our friend in the room of The Catholic Kings.Everything about the rooms, the hotel were amazing.Great attention has been given to its design.Everywhere you looked there was an urn,a lantern,a sculpture, perfect. We dined on the terrace around the small pool,a beautiful setting, make sure you book,it was booked out the night we stayed. We have been visiting Spain for years and we agreed this one of the best meals we have eaten there. The owner and his staff couldnt do enough for us and were very attentive. For the quality and the wonderful setting, the restaurant is reasonly priced. Thanks Amanhavis for a memorable stay,we are definitely planning a return visit.Mervyn D.

Delightful boutique hotel, tucked away in this pretty hill side town. Very conveniant for the centre of town and its wide variety of restaurants and bars. Good food, lovely quirky decor, and good attentive service.

We stayed in a villa in Benahavis with family and on walking around the village found this little place. My partner and I wanted an evening to ourselves and remember seeing this place, so, after reading the great reviews on trip advisor we had to book! We were not disappointed with what we had heard and the experience and meal was everything we had looked for. On entering the restaurant we were kindly greeted and saw our names on the whiteboard which gave the added personalisation to the start of what could be an amazing evening. It is a small restaurant with only around 8 tables. We were taken to our table for two on the left hand side of the pool facing the large open window. It felt like we were the only ones there but with great atmosphere and delicate music. Personalised menus, complimentary bread, dips etc started the evening fabulously. We chose a bottle of wine which was delicious and had a leisurely three course meal spent at our own pace. On finishing our meal, we asked to go up the steps just to the left of us, and although is for staying guests we were allowed. The view was amazing and topped the whole evening off. It was a perfect restaurant, a perfect meal and a hidden gem which will be remember forever. If I ever have a weekend free to travel to Spain i will definitely be visiting this place of tranquility.

We ve just come back from a truly fabulous stay at Amanhavis. The service is fantastic, nothing is too much trouble, in fact they really enjoy making good your stay memorable.
The rooms are beautiful and superbly appointed. You must try the restaurant there, it is without a shadow of a doubt in a different league to the rest of Benahavis Restaurants.
Thank you again go the entire team there. Burkhard (owner) you are the perfect host.

Room Tip: Eat there,not outside

We have eaten many times in this lovely village and have had some memorable meals. Our meal at Amanhavi hotel was probably the most disappointing. The welcome and personalised menus (with the wine list on the back of the man's menu only -sexist? ) set up a hard sell of high priced wines. However charming the host he did not confirm the order (as most waitresses do) and got our order wrong. The odd thing was that I had ordered the stew which we were told was cooked as a traditional stew however when it took ten minutes to plate my replacement order it was clear that their lamb stew is pan fried and a sauce added which is not a stew in any way. They did offer me a free desert to compensate however this was in all probability shop sourced. All lovely setting but not high quality food that the hotel promises

lovely restaurant in Amanhavis hotel, Benahavis. Only about 8 or 10 tables set round a small pool, excellent food and superb service. We go there every time we come to Andalucia and have never been disappointed

We stayed over a weekend to explore the village, do a few country walks and enjoy some of the great restaurants nearby such as Los Abanicos or Sarten which Benahavis is famous for. The hotel is a very nice boutique hotel, with different themes for the different rooms. Rooms were very nicely decorated. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, with a good choice and great service. The hotel restaurant was nice too. Benahavis is a nice village for a weekend getaway. It's also still close to Marbellla and Estepona for shopping and other activities if you have a car.
