“Interesting menu. Bit hit and miss”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013 via mobile

A tiny restaurant off one of the side streets. Very atmospheric with a sound track that could have been put together just for us. A small menu but with enough choice. Service was execellent. When we didn't like the first bottle of wine it was changed without a quibble. Our starters were excellent. The salmon tartare the best I've ever tasted. Unfortunately the curried prawns were over cooked and the accompanying rice undercooked. My husbands cod was perfectly cooked though. Good ice cream for dessert but the apple cake had no cake was just stewed pieces of apple. Overall a good experience. Worth a visit if you like something different.

“Best view & food in Benahavis”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013 via mobile

after a week of food that was very samey in benahavis we stumbled across this restaurant which at last offered something different. With fantastic views of the mountains and very personal service, my family and i were instantly impressed. The food here is much more modern and totally homemade which made for a culinary delight. Raul was a very attentive host and his families pride in their restaurant really shines through . A must vist when in benahavis. Just a shame the masses still prefer frozen chips on the main street.

“Excellent Hidden Gem- A Must To Visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

We went for dinner on a Friday evening and opted for the 5 course tasting menu costing 25 euros each. It was excellent and amazing value, the food was delicious with top quality ingredients, the staff were very friendly and the view from the outside tables is amazing. I would 100 % recommended if you are in Benahavis to visit this restaurant. The house wine was also very nice. We cant wait to go back

“Great food, poor service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

A really good meal spoiled by very unprofessional front of house. The food certainly was creative and good quality, a really nice change to the "norm" in Benahavís but we went in the winter and the restaurant was freezing, so cold that it was difficult to enjoy the evening because of having to sit in coats and scarves. I guess these places are great in the summer but my feeling is that if you want business in the winter then you should heat the place. Given that the only other occupied table were all eating with coats on too we were shocked when the waiter/maitre d decided to open the door as he had got hot working in the kitchen! By 10pm the other table were leaving and we also felt pressured to finish and go as it seemed that this young man was keen to close up. Such a shame that what should've been a really good meal was spoiled by feeling uncomfortable.
