It's a car ride from the battlefield, but worth it. Lot's to see and very interesting things to do. It's especially a good place to go if it's raining and you don't want to be in the rain on the battlefield.
What a great visit, another worth while visit.After travelling from the other side of the pond, I found it a very educatiuonal visit.
This museum is small but worth stopping in. There is a small fee to enter the museum and there is a gift shop that you can browse through for no charge. The museum displays mostly Civil War related items as well as those pertaining to the history of the town itself. If you are in the area, stop by for a half hour or so. Good to stroll the museum on a hot day and enjoy the A.C.
The museum was nice but small. The gift shop excellent. Manassas is a nice town and needs a bigger museum.
You might think this little museum wasn't much, but it took me two hours to get through the whole thing. There was so much to read and learn. It is well organized and really an excellent place to begin your studies of the Civil War. I'm glad I went there prior to going to the battlefield because I learned so much. It is worth the trip.
