“Clean and friendly - excellent value too !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2009

This is an older highway styled hotel originally built as a Ramada (?) 20+ years ago. Rooms are exterior corridor, but to get into the central courtyard - one has to access a main door outside with a room key. Therefore, the rooms are more secure than most exterior corridor motels. Courtyard area had picnic tables and rose gardens and was actually very pretty. The room was freshly renovated with soft linens, a pillow top mattress, new bedskirts, curtains and carpeting. A large screen flat panel HDTV was a nice feature. Tip: the HD channels are at the end of the channel lineup - not advertised. Room was oversized with new bathroom flooring, two sinks, fridge/micro,etc. Maids had folded towels into swan shapes - someone must really take pride in their job. Cute idea for a budget hotel. Only negatives - toilet kept flushing on its own, and even though the breakfast had a lot of variety - I couldn't eat any of it. They do not allow you to take the food out of the breakfast area and there was something unpleasant about the dining area that I can't really put my finger on! It just seemed old and unkempt compared to the rest of a very nice hotel. Bottom line - for being not too far from DC at under $75 a night - you can't beat the value, service, and location. Nice place with a very friendly staff.

I have stayed here several times in many different rooms, I can't believe reviewers complain it is run down and not clean! The staff is great, the rooms are always clean, and the area is beautiful and safe. Also, the beds are A+! And they have great entertainment on the weekends. I find it is a great value compared to other hotels in the area!

I come to the area often on business. the staff at the Best Western is absolutely wonderful. they are very helpful when getting me arround town. Most of all they really go out of their way to make me feel welcome. They have recently renovated their rooms and all I can say is wow. Their beds are fantastic. I also enjoy the entertainment they have in the lounge and the front desk manager Sagar always calls to check on me and makes sure I know about the specials. i absolutely do not even look anywhere else now that I have found this place.

I stay at this Best Western a couple of times a year. What I have discovered is that they have some really nice clean rooms and some not so nice rooms. Midweek the place is full of construction workers and their large vehicles. I stay here on business and feel that the place is just fine. I would think twice about bringing my family here. Seems like they give the lousy rooms to the construction workers or anyone using a coupon and the good rooms to internet bookings and walk-ins paying full price.
If you have business in Wash. DC this is a good place to stay, Manassas is far enough from the city for comfort but its only a few I-66 exits to the nearest Metro subway stop. The pool is nice and the bar has discounted draft beer on weeknights.
Big Joes pizza delivers to this hotel and their food is awesome.

We had a getaway weekend and had a wonderful time!!!
The hotel room was spotless and in excellent condition. Very comfortable. We enjoyed the entertainment and dinner. The staff was very helpful. The best part of our stay was lounging by the pool, the landscape was very relaxing with bright flowers and the pool was crystal clear. My husband and I do not get out too often with a house full of children, this was our first getaway in a long time and we had a very relaxing, enjoyable experience. Would highly recommend this property!!!

I am actually shocked at the price of this room because it is just old and dirty - yes dirty. Their web site CLAIMS that the rooms are RECENTLY upgraded with new carpeting, drapes and bedding - when was that? In 1980 perhaps? Carpet was just visably filthy. 2 sinks - one would not drain. 1 bar of soap for the two sinks and the shower - thanks! No thermostate on the heating/cooling system. It's on 24/7 or off - period. I was there in January and had to get up several times during the night to turn off the heat because it just got too hot - then wake up again when I was freezing to turn it back on. . . Don't even look for all those little amenities that all hotels leave - shampoo, soap, lotion, etc. they are non existant at this dive. The man at the front desk was just annoyed if you had a question or wanted to know where something was. Just one ice machine and drink machine for the entire hotel in a spooky room with no light - so don't go there after dark. No elevator to get your luggage to the 2nd floor (and no help from the hotel staff). Your room WILL be as far away from the parking as they can possibly make it. The ceilings and walls are just filthy and falling down. I arrived late at night after driving all day and it was not an option to drive around town looking for another hotel. I moved the table in front of the door because I really didn't feel safe in this nasty, dirty, noisy, old, dilapidated, dive, that has the gaul to charge over $100 per night. This property is, at best, a $29. per night roon, if that! If you need to stay in this area, go just a couple blocks down the street and pay just $20 bucks more for a real hotel that you will feel comfortable in. Just one more thing - the coffee is just brown, colored, bitter, water. Shame on me, I didn't check this site before booking this room. Also, I didn't realize that I could post pictures here or I would have taken them so everyone could see what I did. I'll take pictures on my next trip!
