City Square Cafe was one of the first restaurants I ate at when I moved to Manassas in January, 2011. They have a nice luncheon menu and the staff is very accommodating.
Ate here on the way through and was thoroughly impressed. I had the crab cake BLT with homemade chips. Great meal for lunch.

The service has always been good but the last three times I've been there since August of 2011, the food has been spotty. My hamburger was still mooing even though I asked for it to be cooked well, the seafood special I had another time in September was excellent but when I returned in November the sandwich (Ruben) was greasy.
Excellent food if just a tad pricey, nice comfortable atmosphere. Very friendly and effcient staff...even served the pets outside with their owners a fresh dish of water. Nice bar area. Great location if you are walking around Old Town Manassas or shopping at the farmers market.

We had reservations to eat here for Easter brunch, and the server refused to let us order from the breakfast menu. She insisted on the "special" brunch menu that had very limited choices. My Mother ordered a pricey lamb chop that was so tough that we had to send it back and my crepe had rancid sausage and slushy vegetables. The coffee was good, service was lousy,
We would NEVER go back!!
