“The Perfect Escape!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2014

We were traveling to Washington, D.C. to visit our daughter. She lives in Amsterdam, but was traveling to D.C. on business and since we live in Georgia that would be so much closer to visit. When we found out she would be staying in Georgetown and not knowing our way around at all or wanting to drive in DC, I started looking further out in Manassas, Virginia. After reading the reviews about the Bennett House and viewing the pictures on their website, I knew I had found the ONE! Boy was I right! The Bed and Breakfast is a beautiful historical home that is spotless, well cared for and so comfortable. The Master Bedroom is amazingly comfortable, warm and cozy with an attached bathroom that is bright and luxurious! The breakfast is AWESOME and yummy! Jean and Curtis are so sweet and make you feel right at home! This is the place to stay! Thanks Jean and Curtis for the Perfect Escape!

Room Tip: The Master Bedroom has an attached bathroom.

The objective was to escape the DC chaos without going to far and have some activities at hand. Manassas was perfect and the location of the Bennett House was also. Our hosts were very helpful and the room was spacious and attractive. Because the house only has 2 guests rooms, arrival and departure times are not so very rigid. Breakfast was simple but delious and lots of coffee!! Parking was also provided. This is a plus because historic areas usually have narrow streets that do not accommodate on street parking. All in all a lovely retreat for time to catch up with my college roommate and share a glass of wine. Surprisingly, she a native of DC, had not traveled to Manassas so a nearby excursion was added to her list.

Room Tip: With only two guest rooms, it really doesn't matter.

We spent two nights at the Bennett B & B during our visit to Manassas. Curtis and Jean are wonderful hosts and cooks!! The location was close to town, but also close to the battlefield, which was the primary reason for our visit. The hosts have thought of everything you might possibly need for an overnight stay - an assortment of toiletries, wine glasses for wine, home made cookies, scrumptious breakfasts, abundant shelving in the bathroom, robes, slippers, Keurig coffee maker, bottled water, maps and books of the area. We have stayed in many B & B's all over the world, and this was one of the best!

Room Tip: We stayed in the larger bedroom with the private bathroom - it was spacious.

Curtis and Jean are pleasant hosts to this beautiful B&B. The room was clean and comfortable, the home and hosts warm and inviting, and breakfast delicious and filling. We have been to several other B&B and there is no comparison - Jean and Curtis are the absolute best at hospitality! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Spent two nights there in June of this year (2014). Jean and Curtis are excellent hosts. The Master Bedroom with its own ensuite bathroom is beautiful The Magnolia trees were in full bloom and everything was perfect. Manassas is a great location - near Washington and a reasonable drive to Luray Caverns and Shenandoah State Park. If you have any dietary needs, as I did (gluten free), this is a great place to stay. Breakfast was fantastic with gluten free waffles and pancakes. Highly recommend that you take the time to stay at Bennett House.

Room Tip: The Master Bedroom is beautiful.

The Bennett House is a lovely place to stay. It is quiet and comfortable with old fashion furnishings. Enjoyed looking at all the pictures, tapestries, and ceramics. The crystal chandelier caught the sunlight creating mini-rainbows. The Innkeepers, Curtis and Jean are, of course, warm and hospitable.

Room Tip: Both rooms are fine. One has the bathroom in the hall and the other in the room.

My wife and stayed at the Bennett House B&B last month, April 8 - April 13, 2014. We had previously stayed there in April , 2012. Curtis and Jean, the owners, remembered us from that stay. Since we gave it such a good review then, why not stay there again? So we did. And again, it was perfect. Why change something that is as good as it gets. Our room was clean, comfortable and fully equipped with all the necessities needed. Jean's breakfast were as good as ever. Curtis is still the master of suggesting historical places to visit, restaurants to eat at, and directions of getting us in and out of Washington D.C. by train. Wine was a five o'clock treat, sitting with Curtis in the living room, listening to his stories of the history of Manassas. He even gave us a personal tour of some hidden away places the next morning that only locals would know. I could go on and on with nothing but excellent things to say, but I'll wrap this up by saying, Stay at the Bennett House. There is no better place in all of Manassas, or even Virginia. You could pay lots more somewhere else, but get less service and friendship. We feel like one of the family, and will always stay with Curtis and Jean. We thank them for being simply, the best.
