The Courtyard in Manassas, Virginia, was a pleasant surprise and would recommend it for anyone having business nearby.

During check in, was greeted by pleasant staff who seemed happy to be working there.

The room was typical of a Courtyard, but is constructed so that I didn't hear everything going on in the hallway or doors slamming all night. The bed was extremely comfortable and sleep was uninterrupted. Everything was clean and in working order.

The morning breakfast was adequate with eggs, potatoes, pancakes and other common staples. The staff was very attentive to the customers even though most seemed to have the breakfast included.

The indoor pool opens at 5 p.m. during the week, but was well maintained as well the spa. The hotel also has a small fitness center, which includes treadmills, elepitical trainer, bike, and a series of dumb bell weights.

A movie theater is across the street, and numerous restaurants are located near the hotel.

Would highly recommend the hotel to any business traveler.

I stayed here once while on business travel, booked through priceline. The front desk staff was very friendly but they were unable to accommodate my request for a room with a fridge which is a big inconvenience when staying for a week (they did offer to move me to a room with a fridge toward the end of my stay). The hotel was clean and quiet. My room was a good size, the bed was comfortable, nice flat panel tv but the hotel looked older and the common areas were somewhat run down. One of the elevators was broken and the door to my balcony was stuck shut. The location was convenient to the highway, shopping, and restaurants but parking was always crowded when I arrived late at night and, as a woman, I didn't feel entirely safe walking the long distance from my car because there were a lot of trees and bushes in the parking area and there were pedestrians cutting through the parking lot to get to the road quite often. Overall, it wasn't bad and I'd stay there again but the other Courtyards that I've stayed at were always nicer.

  • Liked — convenient location, comfortable bed, clean
  • Disliked — no refrigerator, run down

I stayed here on my first trip to Manassas, and it was pretty good. The room is big, the bed is comfy, the shower is good, and it's close to a cinema and the Manassas Battlefield. It's a ways from Washington, but still a good deal.

  • Liked — good room
  • Disliked — a little while from D.C.

Needed to go to Manassas for two days and chose to stay at this location. The hotel is conveniently located right off I-66 which made it nice.

Overall this hotel was clean, quiet and the staff was pleasant - three things I hope for when staying at a location.

Some things to note:

1. The hotel has an indoor pool, hot tub and exercise area. The exercise area looked decent in that it had a number of machines in there with a TV. The pool was located in a nice atrium with windows along with the hot tub. The pool isn't overly large but there was no one there in the two days we stayed which made it nice. It was clean.

2. We did not have a fridge in our room. I read other people may have had one. So I would check that or ask when making reservations if you have little ones and that becomes a necessity.

3. The location had internet service which was wired – was easy to access and speed was decent.

4. There is a breakfast buffet which was 8.95 per person. It was included in our rate so we did partake and it wasn't the worst hotel buffet - it had juices, eggs, omelet’s on demand, waffles, cereal, bread, etc.

5. The location is located next to a number of chain restaurants and stores which are five minutes away.

6. The beds were comfortable - soft mattresses.

All in all a good hotel in my opinion - no frills but excellent for business travel and good for family vacations.

Hope this helps.

I had to stay at this hotel for business over a weekend. It was clean and a decent place to stay. They have a great indoor pool area and hot tub. It is near restaurants and offers a nice business center if you don't have a laptop with you. My nieces live in the area and they stayed with me for one night and loved it.

Hotel is located near nearby restaurants. (loved that as I did not have a car.)

The hotel doesn't have the upgraded bathroom with the curved showerrods I've seen everywhere else, but they do have nice granite counters and marble-style floors. davies gate shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soaps felt more snazzy than typical hotel amenties i've had in the past. they smelled great too.

the room didn't get many television channels but was recently remodeled. the beds were really nice and the desk swiveled out and became a monstrosity of a piece of equipment. this really made it convenient for me to spread out my stuff get my work done. internet worked flawlessly but i was surprised they didn't offer any sort of wireless access.

the deskclerks were great while i was here. one clerk, chris, went out of his wayto arrange taxis for me each day. hats off to him for understanding and helping me out. (i have a phobia about driving in cities i'm not familiar with.)

i did not eat the breakfasts during my stay.
