“Man of Steel,or Mr Bean”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2013

Quite a funny one this.....been meaning to check out this cinema on my numerous visits but never got around to it ,but i went in June...twas a baking hot day and in my hotel (Soreda) they always put up on notice board what is on at the cinema (again Soreda thanks!) so thought i'd check out Superman in 3D. So i wanders in to cinema (via a longish walk round the coast line and the gardens near the Bellavista Hotel PLESANT) to be met by quite a nice ,well make that very nice reception area. Bought what i thought was a reasonably priced ticket and makes my way in...strange ,i thought, as it was in 3D but the girl behind the desk never gave me any specs. Just inside cinema is a largish bar area.....containing a cinema screen showing coming soons...so i buy a large diet coke (not on draft just poured out of a bottle...not great, but wasnay complaining) and takes my seat thinking screens a tad small...but i also think and not to be in anyway detrimental to Malta as i love it but i think "well its a small country...and this is Bugibba and not Leicester Square perhaps this is how films are watched here" i wait and watch the coming soons expecting the man who wears his pants outside tights to emerge at any moment.....times a getting on though....and i still have no 3D specs but again (too much sun perhaps) i think that maybe this small cinema screen doesn't need specs!!! So i sit on feeling bemused....then another chap wanders in, clutching 3D glasses.....so i tell him my plight! He refers me back to reception whereby a girl points at a bucket of glasses.....i then asked if the screen "through there" is the Superman Screen...."nope....if you get in the lift screen 9(i think) is on the top floor! "ohhhhh" feeling a proper numpty i finally find the screen...and had a great afternoon watching the film!

So basically what i am saying is that the cinema is good.....seats comfy...price is good...air con great but the customer service.....leaves a lot to be desired!!! I went during the day and it had a deserted feel but don't let this put you off....great to escape the baking sun!!

“Not bad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

Had to go through a bar to get to it. Staff were very nice and it is a proper olde world cinema with mohogany woodwork all over the place. There was a lift to get to the different screens. On the whole not a bad place at all.

“A great asset for Bugibba”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013

There's only a handful of cinemas in Malta so a film fan will be quite happy being based in Bugibba. This 7 screen complex is modern, spacious and seldom crowded. It seems to favour action blockbusters, but all the major releases will be shown. The standard of equipment and comfort seems to me very good. Pricing varies but is always much less than (for example) UK.
Be prepared for an interval in almost every film. Very handy to know if you're needing a bathroom break.

“Good cinema over all”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

The only cinema I've been to in Malta that has that 60's feel. Good atmosphere. Good offers. Great area.
