Stayed for a week all inclusive at the end of November and had a great time.
Check in was slow but staff were polite and helpful.
Our room was very big, clean and comfortable. Cleaning seemed to be a bit hit and miss. Some days we had towels left but no cleaning or bins not emptied but it wasn't the end of the world.
Food was more than acceptable. I was travelling with a very fussy eater and he enjoyed the food more than I did and never had a problem finding something. Breakfast was the usual bacon, sausaae and eggs. Choices of cereal. Continental stuff. We only had lunch there one day and stuck to salad. In the evening there was a choice of meats, fish, pasta and always pizza. You could ask the chef for chips if you so desired.
The bar, Molly Malone's was a bit dingy but there is an outside area to sit in. Drinks were fine. We had the beer, wine and vodka and enjoyed them all. Entertianment was great for out of season.
The hotel is 10 to 15 minutes from the prom and square. We had drinks and food in the square a few times, walked down to the aquarium and travelled on the buses.
Staff were really helpful on reception, as was the manager who we spoke to a few times: providing info on buses etc.
Yes, it wasn't luxury but it doesn't claim to be. When you consider that it cost less for us to stay here for a week all inclusive than it did to keep our dog in kennels whilst we were away - there is nothing at all to complain about!
