“Lovely family run hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

Stayed here on half board for two weeks although the hotel may be a little worn what a lovely warm and friendly place to lay your head. The staff are great nothing to much trouble both in the dinning room and the cleaning side, rooms are cleaned every day towels changed every day. Food was lovely not a big choice but beautiful cooked different every day.
Would we stay here again YES
See you next year !

Room Tip: We had a room at the front 305 a little on the loud side a room on the other side would have been be...

Arrived late due to flight delays water & sandwiches were brought up for us .
Hotel clean & tidy decent sized room with a view of the sea
Location close to the main bars & minutes from the promenade & main bus terminal
Food superb ,but best of all the staff they could not do enough for you it was my birthday the first day we were there and after our evening meal unbeknown to me they came out with a birthday cake
Spoke to people in the hotel who have been using the same hotel for 16 year I think this speaks volumes
We would definitely return to the hotel when back to Malta do not let the 3* rating put you off

Room Tip: Top two floors have sea views

We booked all inc and although the hotel isn't "glitzy" it's well cleaned and managed with great staff! I'm a veggie and they made special meals for me and my sister ate the same. They were original, creative evening meals which really fill you up! Fantastic choice at breakfast: fruit, yogurt, juice, cereals, selection of meats for non-veggies and cooked breakfast like beans on toast, boiled eggs etc which you have to pay extra for if you go half board but only €1-2. Also they do a delicious chocolate chip cake which we ate every day at breakfast! We only stayed for lunch a couple of days (first and last) which we ate on the roof terrace with the lovely views! You get a menu to choose from for this. We may have used lunch more if staying near Valleta as preferred it there to Bugibba which was very touristy and less cultural. Is therefore worth getting 7 day bus pass for €12 but there was a mixed level of service with bus turning up on time. It was worth it for the beach trips (Golden Bay especially) and for visiting Valleta. We also found the Malta Pass useful for cultural stuff and open air bus tours and had these delivered to Relax Inn for when we arrived. Lovely stay, wish could afford to stay for 2weeks instead of just 1!

Having been to Malta some near 25 times I know what to expect. Our 3/4* in England is not the same as Malta. I have stayed in many places and can honestly say the Relax Inn is the best I have stayed in.
I stayed in a 4* hotel in Malta and was treated like a number, staying at the Relax Inn you are made to feel like one of the family. The bar is basic, the rooms are basic, but it has everything you need. Nothing is too much trouble, I went out one day and was stopped by Sharon to make sure that I took some water with me. Not something happened at the 4*. The rooms are clean, it's very welcoming and you will be greeted by people who have stayed their many times, which is testament in itself. Definitely recommended.

Well, 1st off I really need to say that the staff are very friendly and helpful (except for a few).

We (a couple) stayed on an all inclusive basis. We arrived after midnight and before our arrival I had asked if they could leave sandwiches for us - which they did! Whenever we were out for a day we asked for a packed lunch - again, it was never a problem and it was always there waiting for us in the morning.
In general breakfast was ok - choice quite limited... lunches were also fairly limited, however everything was always freshly prepared and testy. The best part was the dinner - good choice and yummy.
The room - well, where to start? the rooms need updating; in our room the phone wasnt working, the beds were not comfy and the air con unit (worth noting - every room has its own air con unit which is free to use as one wants) was directly above my bed and it kept waking me up at night, but at least the temp in the room was nice and cool! The rooms are cleaned daily.
The roof terrace and pool area - the sea views are beautiful, there is enough sunbeds as there was always a few free. The pool - shallow and small, but cleaning and treatments were done either daily or every 2nd day, so good for refreshing and cooling while sunbathing.

The location is 2nd to none - literally 2 mins walk from the square and sea!

Overall, we did enjoy our stay. We chose this hotel after reading hundreds of reviews of various hotels in Bugibba and most of other hotels had more negative comments than this one. I guess its common in Malta to have a bit low standard - heard similar comments from friends who visited the island. Price-wise, it was fairly ok - definitely not overpriced. But we think the best would be to go for b&b or half board. Eating out is cheap and if we were to come back we would probably go for a self catering holiday in Malta.

By the way, if you want a room with sea views, only the ones from the 4th floor upwards have sea views - the rest faces buildings! so make sure to get a room on the highest floor possible.

Cannot fault the staff, very helpful and eager to please.
But,
The rooms are basic, the swimming pool - on the roof, has good views but is really a plunge pool, the food is reasonable and always a fair selection of both hot and cold with regulars staying who will help make you feel very welcome at meal times.
Location is excellent for the Buggiba nightlife!
Buggiba itself is a bit like Blackpool just warmer, if fish and chips and cheap largers your thing go for it!
Buses are cheap, regular and reliabl so we spent most of our time exploring the rest of the Island.
Would we stay again at the Relax Inn, possibly, the memeories are good !

We stayed at the hotel last year and were very well looked after so we decided to use the same hotel again.
Once again the staff were excellent and very friendly, they couldn't do enough to help us. We booked in April and they also arranged the taxi's to and from the airport.
Yes the hotel may need the odd lick of paint here and there but the friendliness of the staff more than make up for it. The food is good with a choice of starters and main courses and again my youngest son who is a very fussy eater was offered anything he wanted.
The rooms were cleaned everyday.
If you want a good, clean hotel that is centrally located then this is a great place to stay.
Thanks again we hop to see you again soon
