OK i paid £450 for 1 week stay from 4th June 2013, half board, single room, flying from Norwich so what did i expect? - what i got!!.
if i had wanted Ritz standards i would have paid more, ok it says 4 star, no doubt it was when it was built, but it was some time ago. I didn't expect equivalent to a british 4 star hotel at the price I paid - you do get what you pay for - be realistic.
the hotel does have a few problems, it is dated, but it is ok.
Towels can be changed every day if you want them to be, bed linen changed once, have to say they could do with some new sheets, they are a bit grey, they do have some new white pillow cases, all they do is to show how old/grey some are.
Food- seems fine, no probs, they have a roast on every day, sometimes 2, fish dish, pasta, salad, the bacon had more fat than meat, and the toast - well they don't have a toaster in the restaurant, so it comes out in a large tray approx 100 pieces at a time, I think they should get a couple of toasters as i prefer mine warm and soft, not cold and chewy, Only problem was at night i only got a drink twice with my meal, the person who went round to take the drink orders, must have been on leave the other days, however it wasn't much of a problem, as i moved to the bar, after the meal, and wine by the glass is only about £1.15. Supermarkets have loads of wine, at really cheap prices, so shop there.
Breakfast time coffee/tea means you need to queue, so take 2 cups to save the second trip!
Staff are friendly and helpful, roof terrace fine, great views,, pool ok as well, could always get a sun lounger, however i would avoid the seat pads, as they are filthy.
one thing avoid the horse trip, total rip off, lasts about 10 mins, and he came right past the hotel, pointing out things i had walked past, the bus station, Elvis bar and such, i could have told him all that-
so all in all. you do get what you pay for, i was quite satisfied, with what I got for the money i paid - if you want a modern up to date hotel, pay more.
pool view for quiet room, i had rm 431, fine for 1 person may be too cosy for 2
