Since I visit the island around 6 times a year, I have heard of this restaurant a few times by my colleagues/friends. The temptation to visit this restaurant grew more when I was told that they just won a very prestigious culinary award. So it was only a matter of time to visit this place, and I made it a point to be on my TO-DO list :)
I called to book a table for 1 person. When I went at their restaurant I was greeted very nicely and was made to feel welcomed instantly. The Restaurant Manager/Owner accompanied to my table and in a matter of minutes I already had food menu and wine list, and a waitress to explain in case I needed help.
I order some nice Maltese food, and also a very good red Wine (Sessantanni Primitivo di Manduria) and started relaxing and enjoying the lovely ambiance and beautiful Christmas decorations.
Whilst I was reading some magazine articles and occasionally sipping the dark red wine, I was understanding the attention to detail that these people put into their restaurant. Was very impressed with the whole thing, and their restaurant concept, although, not a new concept, is very well executed to almost perfection.
The food was served on my table, and it was very delicious and juicy, to say the least. And when you see the price tag for each plate, I believe its actually under-priced when you factor in the lavish restaurant setup and the excellent service.
Finally the owner served me a nice white chocolate coconut deserve, and for someone who does not fancy white choco, I can say they really did it in a special way.
So my conclusion is rather simple about this place!!! Amazing Ambiance, relaxed and attentive staff, impressive food!!!
Definitely will go again :) :)
