We wanted to visit Umbria and chose Montefalco because it was holding
a wine festival. Because the main house was completely booked we stayed in the guest house next door and for four nights we had the entire upper level to ourselves since the other 2 rooms were unoccuped. Our bedroom was large, had a small terrace, a decent size bathroom and the use of the kitchen, dining room and living room. The Brizi's also own a restaurant and shop in the same block and the meal in the restaurant was delicious. The hostess, Emauele, is very friendly and can give you advice on everything to restaurants, scenic
roads to a cashmere outlet! We would probably stay in larger town next time because even though the village was cute there really wasn't much there. We like small towns but another town nearby - Bevagna - would have been a better choice. The parade and wine festival lived up to our expectations however.
