Lovely, peaceful surroundings in the tuscan contryside. Nice rooms with aircon, nice pool area and very helpful reception staff. We arrived very late on a Friday night and the reception had arranged a 'package' with keys and information and breakfast the next morning. We also got some good tips on which places to visit while we were there. Breakfast ok but nothing special.
Perfect place if you want to 'get away' from daily noice - and still in acceptable distance from the main attractions like Siena, San Giminano, Greve (which we all recomend!).

My now husband and I chose the Villa Belvedere as our main guest accommodation for our wedding party in June; we were married on June 6th in the nearby Castello Il Palagio.

I really cannot state strongly enough how wonderful the place is- or how kind and helpful the staff are. The main villa has a magical setting, perched on a hillside with the most sensational views- which you can enjoy from the grass terrace at the main villa, the swimming pool, or from one of the many apartment terraces. The accommodation is traditionally Tuscan- basic but elegant, clean and spacious, and the grounds are simply breathtaking. It’s about 40 minutes from Florence, and 30 from Sienna.

It's worth knowing that this place is not a luxury hotel- and the facilities are limited (it is after all a very old rustic farmhouse), and the breakfast is quite basic; that said, for us this all added to its undeniable charm. They also don’t have a restaurant as such so you need a car.

As far as the service goes- every person we dealt with went out of their way to ensure that we and our guests had the best time- nothing was too much trouble and we were looked after with great care, humour and personal attention. On the Friday night we had a BBQ for all of our guests (approx 60), and despite the threat of bad weather we had the most wonderful evening- which was made possible not only because of the simply sensational catering- but because of the Belvedere team doing everything in their power to make sure we had nothing to worry about.

Whether you’re looking for romantic destination for two (in which case ask to stay in the main villa), or you’re planning a group or family holiday- I cannot imagine a better place. And finally, if you go at the end of May/start of June, it's highly likely that at night you will find yourselves surrounded by fireflies…as if this place needed any more magic!

Our stay here was okay for the money but wouldn't recommend to others. the cleaners discarded a bag with our personal belongings (accidentally) and breakfast was not great. it was very disappointing not having a restaurant on premises and closest restaurant was miles away.

We have just returned from Italy after our honeymoon and it was with no doubt the most perfect one on earth!! On top of the a-m-a-z-i-n-g view, most romantic location, the service was great, Paula was so nice and helped us with any request we had, our room was big, comfi, and clean, we really couldn't ask for anything more!
It is easy to get there and get from there to Florence, Siena and many special places in the area. If you are looking for a place to relax in Tuscany - go to Villa Belvedere Campli !

The Villa Belvedere was without the best place we have ever stayed at in Italy. Set on the top of a wine valley with idyllic and romantic views, this Villa is well worth the short journey from Florence (approx 45 mins by car). If you stay here you will be in the heart of the chianti growing region surrounded by wineries and little Italian towns that have their own wine growing festivals. The Villa catered for over 40 of our wedding guests, organising a good group discount rate. Most of our guests stayed in the roomy apartments surrounding the Villa. Each apartment had bedrooms, at least one bathroom and a living area (many also had kitchens). At our request the Villa laid on a three course meal with bubbly and wine produced from the grapes surrounding the Villa in a candle lit wine cellar (a real highlight for us and our wedding guests!). Ideal for exploring wine vineyards or a week's romantic stay away from it all.
