“Great new restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014

Eight of us popped in after First Friday and had a lovely dinner including mussels with frites, sandwiches and a salad with goat cheese. Everyone raved. The beer list is amazing, the service was knowledgeable and very friendly. I wish there were a few more vegetarian options. We will be back!

“Smooth transition from Belgian restaurant to Belgian bistro in new location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2014

Belgian owners recently lost their lease for an excellent restaurant, our Richmond favorite. They have made a seamless transition to a smaller venue in the heart of the city, to a Belgian bistro.
We were there for lunch, two days after the opening, and the meal, service and welcome were just as if we had been in their earlier business. The crab quiche was a generous serving, warm and quit light in texture. The accompanying salad was made of various types of lettuce, with a delicious tangy dressing. The owners have long featured the best list of Belgian beers found in Richmond and the new venue features them all!

“Wow !!! What a transformation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2014

Wow !! I can't believe the transformation of that old, cold place into such a warm and cozy spot. You walk in and feel immediately comfortable. Nothing fancy, just the right touch.
We discovered that we had actually visited the family's previous location (Belle Vie in Midlothian - now close) before, enjoying their food, service and friendliness. This is a repeat of that experience in a much more casual way.
The cheese croquettes and mussels were incredibly tasty, a couple of Belgian beers on tap coated my throat with gold and shared desserts (home made by the owner) were the climax of the evening.
A little chit chat with chef Xavier closed a wonderful night that will be repeated.
