“Great Christmas Destination”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

We received an excellent tour of the mansion and enjoyed walking the grounds which were beautifully decorated for the season.

“family park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

this beautiful park is located near downtown with easy access from major city roads. once there you will find a petting zoo of goats/ sheep and veiw of many other animals from bears to bison. a trail allows easy access of the Japanese gardens, manmade waterfall, and plenty grassy areas for picnic's or just enjoying the park. Highly recommended if you are in the area best of all there is no charge for enjoying this wonderful park.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

Being huge park in the center of the city it's easy to spend a day here. Pack a lunch and have a picnic in one of the many fields. Check out the animals enjoy nature and tour a mansion all in one stop.

“Always a fun day!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

We've been to Maymont a few times and it's always fun. It's fun to take a picnic and go with kids to see the animals and walk through the various gardens, but it's a great date too! Make sure to find out what weekend the plant sale is being held in May, it's a don't miss event for the gardener!

The place is beautiful. There is a lot of walking if you want to see it all. They have a petting zoo and other animals to see as you walk the park.
