“Great experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

This place is great for both lunch and dinner. It is on the 3rd floor of the fine arts museum and the atmosphere rivals the food. There are floor to ceiling windows and there is not a bad seat in the house The decor is upscale mid-century modern, service is always excellent, food very good with excellent presentation. For the experience, great value for money.

“Equal to the art displayed downstairs.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

truly memorable. Great how they use the visiting exhibits to inspire their seasonal cocktails! When for Chihuly, sampled the cocktails inspired by his unique, color-filled art.

“Great food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

We sat at the bar as no tables were available (lunch time). The bartender was very friendly and answered all my questions about the food and specialty drinks she was making to go along with the Chihuly exhibit. The food was very good.

“you wont be amused...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

you will be amazed!! the food selection and preparation at this institutional restaurant was beyond compare and quite unexpected for this venue. They truly extended the concept of "art" to the food they served there. The Oxtail Chili was the perfect precursor to the shrimp/crab grits! we were on the timed ticket for the exhibit but our server told us not to worry if we were a little late so that made the meal easier to digest. It was a busy Sunday due to the special exhibit and we heard the seating for 2 could be an hour wait, fortunately there was 5 of us so they were able to seat us within 5 mins at a larger table. The bonus was being able to enjoy a glass of fine wine with the late lunch as well!

“Never Disappointed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

I love visiting the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond, Virginia, but my favorite stop is for lunch at the Amuse Restaurant. The setting is lovely. I love being seated at a table near the large glass wall. The view of the museum grounds is relaxing and calming any season of the year. The service is flawless, the presentation of each dish is a work of art, and with each bite there is a delicious flavor to savor. The wine and drinks are special. Everything works here! It is my favorite place to have lunch!
