“Neat little place, delicious food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

This is a hidden gem just behind Broad street. The sandwiches are HUGE so, be sure you share. I think they make their own bread. Really enjoyed it!

“Choose Your Battleship”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

What a wonderful hip, eclectic, local, fresh, tasty restaurant! The sandwiches are great (and huge...bring a friend...or two friends!), the salads are magical and unique, and vegetarians will love the various selection of items. Don't miss out on one of Richmond's best kept secrets (while...that was until the Travel Channel sent Adam Richman there for an episode of Man Vs. Food).

“Love this place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

We go here frequently for brunch. Love the eclectic atmosphere, especially the mix-matched salt and pepper and table settings. We have always had tasty food, either from the menu or the daily special. The hubby is a big fan of the sandwiches for which they are known. Not being such a sandwich gal I like the Heuvos and the French toast. We went with friends who got the Barn and Bay and said it was to die for.

It can be busy so expect a wait. They have a back enclosed patio for coffee/tea/ bruc=nch drinks while you wait.

“What a sandwich”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

Off the beaten path, but great recommendation from a friend. Get the small sandwich--it's huge! One of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. No problem with parking or lines if you go off-hours.

“OMG Good!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

Ok, this place does sandwiches like you wouldn't believe! The portions are HUGE - worth splitting or taking half home for dinner. The great thing about Black Sheep is that they are creative with their menu -- for example -- I ordered the Ms P which was bacon, avocado, pimento cheese, grilled red onions and tomatoes on texas toast. Yes, over the top and if you are watching your diet this is not the place to go! But man-o-man was it good. They offer non traditional beers -- IPAs etc. so those looking for something a little different will definitely love this place. Get there early and even then you may have to wait for a table! But it will be worth it.
