We stayed as part of a volleyball tournament but our room was paid for so I'm not sure what the cost was. The only parking option is a pricey $18/day valet (which we also didn't pay for) but the car was always ready when we needed it. I actually mistakenly left my wallet in the car one night and it was still there with everything intact the next morning!
To be greeted with a warm cookie makes a great first impression, as did the room upon arrival. The beds and pillows are so cozy it was very difficult to get up in the morning. The double bed room was quite large and we had requested a refrigerator which was ready for us when we arrived. Bathroom is quite small, just barely enough room to open the door without hitting the toilet but the shower is spacious and I'm usually picky about water pressure but ours was fine.
We were on the 9th floor and with three elevators we never had to wait long. Since the hallways have several turns, I never heard anyone in the halls (this included the numerous teenage volleyball players who had filled the hotel for the weekend).
We enjoyed a late dinner in the bar area since the restaurant seating was about to close. The chef's special sauce on the buffalo chicken wrap had just the right amount of kick and the burger and fries were delicious. He delivered it himself and was quite proud of his work, as he should be! Not your normal bar food.
The hotel also has two vans that offer free shuttle service which we used to and from the convention center. If the weather had been warmer, it is close enough to walk.
Definitely a great choice for a visit to downtown Richmond or VCU.

Checked in late and tried to sleep in. Forget about that I must have been by the housekeeping closet. Constant banging on walls and loud conversation all morning long. They seemed to have no regard for people trying to rest.

Stayed here for two nights for business at VCU, which was just a five minute walk away so it was great for anyone visiting or doing business at VCU.

Staff were friendly and accommodated my early check-in, with a warm cookie as well! The room was clean and pretty modern, I can't complain at all. The walls are a bit thin so I could easily hear a conversation happening in a nearby room however, turning on the fan function on the heater solved most of that problem.

I grabbed dinner and breakfast in their restaurant/breakfast buffet and was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the food! I also used the business center on the 15th floor and found that to be convenient and a nice quiet, out of the way place to do some quick printing.

Best part about my stay was interacting with the gentleman who was driving the hotel shuttle to the airport (which is great if you're trying to avoid renting a car while in town). He was very friendly and pleasant and a delight to chat with for the 15 minute drive to the airport!

The hotel is located with easy access to the capital area and the VCU campus. The staff was very friendly and handled every quest professionally. The hotel was clean though it is a bit dated. The bathroom was a bit small and the shower not very powerful. Despite this, we would stay there again.
