From The moment you enter the hotel to when you leave your treated great. Had the Governors Sweet. Great room. My wife and her friend had High tea in the afternoon, they thought it was as good as in London at the Browns Hotel. It is located close to everything, but you will need a car to get around.

Room Tip: Had the Governors Sweet Great room. plenty of light in the room. My wife and her friends had high...

We stopped here in our way to Myrtle Beach. I can see how the hotel is a 5 star hotel but I feel the room could have been a bit more modern. Lovely French doors to a shared balcony was great. But if you looked up, there were remnants of bee hives on the balcony ceiling. Also, there was a bit of mold on the grout in the tub. Breakfast was fantastic. And included in the price. Service was outstanding and friendly staff. Very accommodating. Free shuttle to Cartown in a town car. Gave us an umbrella to use in case it rained. And it did. Great location.

Room Tip: Room with balcony is nice.

Reserved late check in, goggled address on way home from Georgia to Delaware. Surrounding neighborhood is a little dicey but reception and staff were welcoming and very helpful. Enjoyed one of the nicest dinners in their main dining room, no jackets required for men. Fabulous martini!
Our room was clean beautifully done and very quiet. Breakfast in same dining room and toured hotel which is truly an architectural delight. Would absolutely go out of our way to stay again. Highly rated!!

My husband and I clebrated our 20th wedding anniversary by treating ourselves to a weekend at the Jefferson. It was simply wonderful. The room and brunch package was supposed to cost $335 for a superior room. When we arrived, the price had been reduced to $305 due to special we didn't even know about. Such a delight to simply have it given to us without us have to ask! The room was beautiful and comfortable. We enjoyed dinner at LeMere and brunch at TJ's. Both were delicious and the service was first class. We can't wait for another excuse to splurge!

Room Tip: Upgrade to the superior room.

Just got back from an overnight at the Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, Virginia. There were two of us traveling and both of our rooms were beautifully decorated with the most comfortable beds ever! It all began with check-in: The men at the front desk named Diarmuid and Kyle, were efficient, helpful and made my friend and I both feel we were being welcomed "home". We try to get to Richmond every year if not more and always stay at the Jefferson Hotel. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant "Lemaire" and were given speedy, not rushed, and pleasant service by our server, Mary Beth. She made suggestions which were all great, and gave us uncrushed, friendly service. Everyone at the hotel without exception deserve an award for making our one night so special. The manger is to be commended for hiring such capable and caring staff. We will be back sooner than later to this Shangri-La!

I have been flying to Richmond for work very frequently in the last few months. Recently, I finally had a chance to stay at The Jefferson - and it really stood out! From the outside the hotel doesn't look so impressive, but the minute you step inside you are transformed in time. The lobby with all the wood work, stained glass, and high ceilings is absolutely beautiful. You just want to stand there and marvel at its history and architecture. My room was small but absolutely charming - super comfy bed, small marble bathroom and a little wooden desk - it had everything that I needed for my stay. The staff is super helpful, always smiling and polite - if you need something, just ask. The biggest surprise was that the room service food was spectacular - try the peanut soup which is a southern favorite (it was delicious). I really, really enjoyed my stay.

Gorgeous hotel. Very good restaurants on site. Comfortable bed. Nice pool and large fitness center. Stayed here for a conference when the conference hotel was booked and had a great stay. Breakfast at upstairs restaurant Lemaire was very good as we're the cocktails in the bar there.
