“Good food in nice setting..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2014 via mobile

It was so peacefull to seat on their terrace and enjoy the dinner. There were just few people on nearby boats, parked in porto. It was tricky to find it, because we couldnt find that "address" in navigator. You must follow signs for port for Corsica and then under the tunnel and on the right. We parked the car there by the road and continue walking inside the small port for private boats (there is a set of buildings). At the end, there you will find that restaurant. The menu was quite short, everything what we choosed was good, but nothing to talk at home about it.

“Still very worth”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2014

I have been here an year ago. And now again. Well, all confirmed!! Food is really excellent, the team is the same as last year, means perfect. No need to mention the fine and romantic location!! I spent two hours with my love here, and have been treated like stars. Fresh fish and superb wine!! The owner, Mr. Piero is a real old kind gentleman. Be back for sure...!!! Keep going guys!!

“Elegant but not worth it.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

We came here on the basis of TA reviews - although most were outdated. It is an upscale restaurant at the end of the harbor, with elegant inside or outside dining. Unfortunately, it was not up to expectations.
Starting with a complimentary mix of tepid calamaretti with a dash of pesto, a piece of chicken in a tomato cream dip, and a piece of Brie and pecorino, I guess that we all had the same reaction: what a mix of flavors that are not especially complementary!
Then on to a few overpriced antipasti dishes (€20 and up). Yes the fish was fresh, local and tasty, but a bit much for antipasti. Main courses of grilled fish mix, paccheri and fish carpaccio were again very fresh but not so interesting.
Ambiance on the port was great, but food and prices made this a marginal experience.

“Gorgeous place, beautiful setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2011

We travelled from Alghero to take a ferry to Corsica. Due to high seas postponing our ferry , my husband and I ended up staying a night in Santa Teresa di Gallura. We hadn't planned to do so and had nowhere booked. We dropped into Il Choistro on the harbour to figure out what to do and Massimo went out of his way to help us out, even ringing around some local hotels to find a room for us and then dropping us in his car to our hotel. Very kind of him. This is a gorgeous place, very chilled out, lovely staff, lovely view of the harbour. Well worth a visit - and thanks Massimo!
