“A relaxing experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2012

We chose this hotel for a relaxing - ' recharge the batteries' one week break and were not disappointed.
The hotel is very well run and all the staff are helpful and professional - they even tolerated my attempts at Italian. All the pools are well maintained and large enough to to enjoy a serious swim. The setting is very peaceful and the gardens provide a beautiful setting for guests and birds alike. The small bay near the infinity pool is rocky rather than sandy making entry into the sea more awkward but it can still be a great pleasure swimming there in crystal clear waters. Some offshore winds can bring seaweed to the shore and cloud the water - best to avoid these days for swimming in the sea. The beaches become more sandy to the west of the hotel. We stayed half board and evening meals were varied and tasty with excellent service by friendly staff. Breakfast was substantial with a good selection each day. The Ibiscus room we stayed in was spacious and the cleaning services were excellent. Would we return again? - definitely but for a longer stay.

it is ok if you miss the sign leading to the hotel. look for tamoil petrol station on the left, the sign is on the left too post the station. very confusing but once you get it its easy.
the nature leading to the property and within the property is very romantic. yes it is a dirt road.

the hotel Is perfect if one does not want to do anythign else than to read by the pool and eat in the restaurant. this is a place to watch and to be watched. visitors in may were mainly from germany, netherlands and france.

the rooms are sober sardinia style in browns and whites. hibiscus room is really very spacious, all hibiscus rooms have either a balcony or a terrace. all bathrooms have a shower.

restaurant offers a la carte for lunch and set menu of 45eur for the dinner. dinner is great value for money. alternatively one can go out eating in pula.

it was clear that the reception and restaurant do not work as a team, in fact i was told twice off by reception for asking to book a table in the restaurant. overall level of service was varying from poor to excellent.

wifi costs extra money, and is only accessible in reception. so an area of huge improvement as majority customers during our visit were using ipad or a laptop to catch up with the news.

Room Tip: Up grade to a mid room offering if you wish for your own balcony

If you just want to lay by the pool and do nothing then this is a great place but if anything else is on your list, you might prefer to stay somewhere better connected to transport. A long dirt road takes you to the bus that goes a couple of times a day and only one shuttle a day from the hotel. You pay extra for that and extra if you want a towel for the pool! Bit of a joke all the extras you have to pay for with a 4star rated hotel! We thought maybe they got one star just for the infinity pool. Staff were helpful and friendly, especially Sylvia. No wifi in rooms and a fee for it anywhere else on site. No service by the pool which would have been much appreciated!

Thank you for visiting Sardinia and our hotel; thank you also for the good comments about the staff and the infinity pool.
You are giving to me an important occasion to explain better that my suggestion to discover all beauties here in South Sardinia is renting a car; good prices and some help from us is guaranteed.
Those guests, all friends for me, who decide to stay in our "casa" without a car are trying to escape from daily problems (those ones of all people in the world) looking for contact with nature and finding a nice way to read a good book: in our hotel we do bookcrossing.
Arrivederci.

originally took a bus from Cagliari however did not get off at the Santa Margherita stop as it was in the middle of nowhere; had to take a taxi from Chia (last stop on route, and a hefty €30 fare); unless you have your own car or taking a taxi walking from the main road isn't a good idea (long walk cobbled and dusty country road, not suitable for suitcases).

hotel is gorgeous, well kept and clean, staff lovely (especially Jonathan who was very helpful).

kids friendly (kids pool, swings, etc) but full of mainly 50+ guests (maybe because I was travelling in early September), 3x pools (one infinity pool with a fabulous sea view), menu a la carte (3 course dishes, menu in IT and EN, exquisite dishes, 3x to chose from), long wine list.

bus to Chia/Posada early AM, €4, bus €3.80 from Cagliari, taxi to Pula €17, €70 to Cagliari

no need to reserve sunbeds, a lot of space at every single one of the pools. very very nice hotel but there was no entertainment in the evenings and as you'd need to take a taxi to Pula to get to a bar, the night can prove rather costly.

wasps were a massive problem, maybe because of all these gorgeous flowers around. they particularly liked scrambled eggs. breakfast was a bit of a let down, not much choice offered.

towel €4 non refundable, €4 beer, €1.80 water from the bar.

overall it's a little bit boring yet lovely hotel. The plugs are different from other standard European two bolts, these have three but not unlike the English ones. In the end I used to use one in the bathroom.

Dear Guest, thank you for the positive review and the good words about hotel and staff.
Just to give more informations I'd like to underline:
- the hotel was full in September and it is the best quality of hotel costa dei fiori to give the impression of staying in a private villa instead of a crowded village..; also the soft entertaiment is bound to this quiteness;
- our shuttle service was planned not at 10.30 am and sometimes was also flexible;
- we agree about the possibility to improve breakfast service: we are working also for that;
- plugs and little things are easy to be faced.. please next time let us know so that we could give another adapter.
Thank you again and.. Arrivederci.

We stayed at the hotel Costa dei Fiori first week in October 2011. Normally I wouldnt leave feedback, however on this occasion, we had such a lovely relaxing holiday, with no hiccups, that it justified a few minutes of appreciation. Absolutely beautiful hotel and area. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Room was clean, tidy, functional and had lovely view over the pool. Such a lovely place to holiday and relax; very peaceful and quiet.
The infinity pool and sea views are perfect. I have no quarks in fully recommending this hotel!

Room Tip: We were in rm 36 upstairs. Shared balcony looking over pool. Included entrance room, more for stor...

I had a most pleasent stay at Costa Dei Fiori with my girlfriend. The hotel is a gem surrounded by huge green spaces which include palm trees, pine trees and exotic flowers. There are also two great swimming pools one of which is on the sea front with a private beach. This is the perfect place to regenerate yourself. The rooms are large with great views and the service is impeccable. If you are after a game of golf the famous Is Molas Golf Club is only a few minutes away. We are already planning to return to Costa Dei Fiori next year.

Room Tip: Suites above the reception are exeptional and blessed with great balconies which overlook the sea.
