My review is a bit different from all the other do to the fact that I actually with my parents went to Forte Village since I have gone there since 1986 till 2000 that is 14 years in a row that both myself and my family have gone to the hotel Castello for a month each year. Then I move to the USA for work and I was not able to come back so often. Got married to an italian woman seven years ago and I decided this summer that she had to see where I spent most of my childhood, so I decide to come back.
Well I can certainly say that the Hotel Castello still keeps is name for excellence from the quality of food served in the morning and in the evening, from the hospitality to the cleaness of the rooms. I also wanted to add that yes the actual beach is shorter from 20 years ago but the water and the service that we received from beach boys and their staff was outstanding, we felt protected and at home. The magnitude of variety of sports that you can in a day is unique and then you can go to one if not the most incredible spa that I have encountered in many trips we have maid over the years, and then to top it all off you have great show at night.

I would dedefinately raccomend to anyone for once to experience this great resort you will like it so much that you will come back like we did.

Family Holidays in Forte Village Resort – no one does it better!

It is true. Where else you can have a quit lunch or dinner by seaside and your children will be happily dancing or playing football with Chelsea Football Club players, or having courses in professional sport tennis or golf academies?

Can you imagine? It is possible to agree that nanny of your child will cook porridge on the kitchen. The word “no” does not exist for guests here…Everything is possible.

Mama mia, I want again to come back to Forte Village!

We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Hotel Castello. Having booked several months in advance and read some of the rave reviews we were looking forward to experiencing 7 days of pure luxury. Sadly, the Hotel Castello fell a long way short of out expectations. Our hotel room was very small, dark and in desparate need of redecorating. The balcony was small and had a window box full of dead flowers. Not what you would expect of a 5 star hotel and in fact we've stayed in much better 4 star rooms in the past. We were woken at 7am each morning by the sound of the noisy golf buggys and trailers driving around the resort. The resort itself looked in much need of an overhaul. The gardens looked overgrown and untidy. The staff were on the whole fairly helpful but we had to report the faulty safe in our room 3 times before it was fixed. We ate mainly at the buffet restaurant at the Castello. The food was very good but the service let the whole experience down. We waited so long to be shown to a table that in the end we seated ourselves. We then waited a further lengthy period to be given the wine list! Again, not what we expect from a 5 star resort. The beach was the hotel's redeeming feature with white sands and crystal blue sea. We would have liked to have enjoyed more of the facilities in the resort but the extortionate prices put us off. We were staggered to learn that a visit to the gym costs 25 euros per person and if you want to play tennis for 45 minutes that will be another 50 euros for the hire of the court and use of two rackets. You really do feel robbed I'm afaraid. We've stayed at many 5 star resorts all over Europe, Asia, and the USA. Forte Village really didn't come anywhere close to the 5 star standard you should expect for the prices they charge. A dissappointing experience and definitely not 5 star.

Again and again,this is our 6th visit in Castello. The director Mr. Spiga is very professional and all the staff is very friendly. Many activites for kids and family. The room is roomy and confortable in our room outdoor jacuzzi. We had again a great time, thank you Castello
