“This hotel is a destination in and of itself.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2011

We arrived around midnight and received a warm welcome including help with the luggage to our rooms. The view from the room's balcony at night was thrilling, overlooking Sirolo and the long sweep of beach below. Breakfast was fine, especially the espresso, and we spent the first day exploring the parkland upon which the former monastery is situated. The next day we walked three miles down from top of the tall hill to the pristine pebble beach and back - good exercise and great scenery. The staff made restaurant reservations for us and picked us up when we were caught in the rain. There was a lively wedding in the church associated with the former monastery which we were able to observe while there.

Room Tip: Travelers are able to request a sea view room.

nice hotel with rather large rooms. (most?) rooms have a small balcony and a superb sight (see and mountains).
The staff in the reception is efficient with an acceptable to good kwowledge of English.
There is a nice pool and a secured private parking (free).
For HB you'll pay 25€/p, but is more than worth it and the wine comes in cheap.
A place to go back to.

I was disappointed in this hotel because it had been highly recommended. There was nothing seriously wrong, but the owners have so much to work with it should be much nicer. The rooms are a bit drab and sterile. The staff is nice and it's not terribly expensive, but I would recommend it with reservations. If you're looking for a special place, this isn't it.

Unusual for these places hotel on a hilltop, on which the floating clouds in the morning. Former Abbey of San Pietro. I recommend that you (the hotel is not have a private beach) to travel by boat to the beach Due Sorelle. It is very beautiful and cozy beach. Also near Castelluccio and the Grotte di Frasassi, which should visit. As well as gastronomic capital of Umbria - Norcia (see photos!). Restaurant in the hotel is not very good, but head waiter worse. We booked a table by the window, but he didn't provided it for us. But has worked at the front desk, just a wonderful girl - Sabrina. We remember her with pleasure.

A comfortable hotel full of specific character. Extremely friendly management and personnel - very stable, you become friends. Even the guests are, as a rule, particularly friendly and interesting - here we have made quite a number of friends with whom we have visited in Rom, Ravenna, Milano ...The view is absolutely breathtaking, the sea, the coastline towards the south, the Marche, the Appennino. A nice and well-kept swimming pool - most of the time you can wait for it to be empty and be the only swimmer. Beware of the kitchen: It is irresistibly good, starting with very generous appetizers, a great fantasy of salads, cold cuts ... you name it.
We have spent two to three weeks there every summer for the last ten years and are looking forward to the eleventh.

We recently visited the Marche region of Italy and can't say enough good things about the Hotel Monteconero. It is located at the top of the mountain, looking down on the blue sea and the small town of Sirolo. In the evening, you can take long strolls along the well marked paths or drive the beautiful Conero Coast. If looking for a great place to eat, be sure and stop at Trattoria Da Saviotti. It is just a short distance between Sirolo and Ancona and is out of this world. The husband and wife team have created a picture perfect place to enjoy gourmet food! Enjoy!
