“Despite Full House, Great During Head of the Charles 2014”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We expected long wait times in the restaurants, slow room service, and overloaded shuttle services but booked anyway because of the premier location for the world's largest rowing event, Head of the Charles. What a pleasant surprise not to encounter any of the expected problems. Hats off to staff and management!

Nice large room, excellent bar and restaurant (lobster rolls are amazing), good downtown location.

Quite a drive from Logan airport, costing us approx $50 is a cab through 5pm traffic.

Nice enough for a business trip but wouldn't recommend for a couples trip.

This hotel has a beautiful view of the city of Boston and is centrally located to many of the cities attractions. Even with the current construction going on in the lobby I felt well taken care of and comfortable.

I thought I wouldn't mind when they wrote us (long after we made our reservations) that they were renovation the halls. But it was the main hall and the banging started in the morning and went on all evening. I was quite disturbed because i had planned a number of meetings in the lobby and it wasn't fun. When I went to complain I was told, "no free breakfasts" as if i was the hundredth person who had protested today. In every other way this is the same hotel it's always been - polite, a bit problematic, beautiful, and convenient. Why these places make a big deal about free internet I'll never understand, but of course we brought our hotspot. Just wish I had known about the extensive renovations.

Room Tip: i love a river view and higher floors seem to be quieter

Hotel quality is ok, but the hotel is far from Central and Harvard Square and they charge $40 for parking. I would recommend pay $50 more for Le meridian which is better quality and closer to central square, so you don't need to rent a car and you end up spending less.

I came here for a convention, and I was really pleased with everything: my room, location, and the banquet dinner at the hotel. I had never been to Boston before, and was really happy with how nice the neighboring area was and how pleasant it was for walking. I walked from the Hyatt to MIT, along the Charles River, and to John F. Kennedy's childhood home across the river.

The restaurant and bar have great views of the river and Boston, and the breakfast I had was very good. The breakfast menu had a spinach frittata and other varied items--not just a standard bacon-and-eggs kind of menu. The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay.

Stay was very comfortable. Had an issue with loud guests next door one night that management handled and resolved immediately. Food at the restaurant is good if you want to order in. Close to many of the Cambridge and Boston colleges too.
