I came to The Similans for a business dinner. The price point is right for doing large parties or for an inexpensive night out. The main courses range from $9-15.
We had appetizer platters. Most of it was standard Asian-style appetizer and most of it was also deep fried. Needless to say, I am less of a fan of this type of appetizer, though there are other options listed on the extensive menu.
Every person seemed to be very happy with their main course. I had the Roast Duck Curry - described as honey roasted duck in a red curry sauce with vegetables - and it was quite tasty. TO drink, I had the Thai iced tea. It was very strong, creamy, sweet, and overall delicious.
This is a great place to go if you are going to the Museum of Science or if you are shopping at the Galleria and wish to escape the hustle bustle of the food courts.
