“Convenient in Harvard Square, I'd be okay going back. ”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2015

I have the bib lettuce salad with Gorgonzola cheese and a Dijon vinaigrette followed by a half lobster pizza. The pizza was quite good, although it's not the usual Italian red sauce and goopy cheese with toppings style. Instead: Flatbread and more strategic toppings. I like the room. The staff was very friendly and quick. The location is very convenient to Harvard Square. We had a enjoyable meal and we could substitute this place for many others in the Harvard Square area. Nothing truly remarkable and, if you were looking for a pub-like meal, I'm sure you would not be disappointed if you ate here.

“Unique pizza, very busy at lunch time.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2015

We have visited Cambridge 1 (so named because many years ago it was fire station Cambridge 1) a number of times since it replaced the former Young and Yee Chinese restaurant. It has a range of seating options. There is a long counter along the front window with stools, which is fine if you don't find pedestrians looking in at you. There is the usual bar counter, some unusually high tables in the middle, and standard tables at the rear with views of the old cemetery. It's mostly pizza that is very thin. If you only like the traditional pizza house-style pizza, this is not the place for you. If you are up for a different approach to pizza, you will have a significant range of options and natural ingredients in building a pizza to for your taste. Give it a try.

Although we arrived during their very busy lunch time, the service was very good. The two of us ordered our own half pizza and a beverage for a total with tax of about $35.

“So very Cambridge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2015

Have a half pizza and enjoy your partner's half over beers.
It's enough!
With Great salads.
And do look over the lovely historical Cambridge graveyard of the 1600s.

“They call this pizza?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2014

If you're on the Atkins diet, this may be the pizza place for you. Otherwise, I'd keep right on walking to a real pizza parlor. The "crust" is more like a wafer-thin cracker as opposed to a thin yet still-made-of-bread base that I expect and love in a thin-crust pizza. If I'm going to eat pizza I want pizza in all its bready, saucy, cheesy, topping-ed glory. I don't want to be teased with a diet pizza; I'd much prefer a nice bowl of salad greens if I'm keeping it light.

“Delicious pizza.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2014

if you love thin-crust topping-loaded pizzas, this is the place to go! We always order two different halfs as it is plenty for two people.
