We visit Cambridge every year around Christmas time. We've been doing this since 2008 for our 25th Wedding Anniversity. The first time we ate at the Dolphin was 1979 when I qualified for and ran the Boston Marathon. The food is as good now as it was in 1979 and under the same great management. We usually eat there every single night of our stay, this time four nights in a row. We always start out with the fried oysters which are to die for. The batter is so light and delicious it does not overwelm the taste of the fresh oysters The broiled seafood is their specialty, however. The second night we have their Fried Seafood Platter which is mounted high with clams, scallops, shrimp, oysters, calamari, and fresh fish. We will tell you the seafood at the Dolphin is much better than "other" seafood restaurants in the area. If you eat there once you'll be hooked and you will return again and again. We do.
