“Best Mocha in Boston!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013 via mobile

The mocha and hot chocolate are hands down the best in Boston. The only decision is dark or milk chocolate. It is so rich I only need to order a small. Sit, relax and breath in the heavenly smell of chocolate. Worth every penny! The pot of tea is nice also.

“Most chocolatey hot chocolate you'll ever have”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

Their famously thick hot chocolate is simply divine. You can order dark, milk, or white chocolate in whatever kind of milk you want--it all comes out incredibly rich. High-quality, responsibly-sourced chocolate goodness.

“Excellent pastry in a cosy setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013 via mobile

I know I am supposed to be eating or drinking chocolate at L.A. Burdick but I couldn't resist the raspberry tart and was badly in need of coffee. The tart, served with whipped cream, was divine. Flaky tart crust and not too sweet filling. Kudos to the pastry chef!

“Holy Moly that's good chocolate”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013

Comparable to the best Hot Chocolate I've ever had in NYC (Leonidas in Southern Manhattan). Cake/other yummies to die for. Amazing location as well.

“Worth every penny!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

I first encountered L.A. Burdick two years ago during a college visit with my daughter - we took a break from a day of presentations, and happened upon their sandwich board with the claim of "The Best Hot Chocolate in Boston". That was the first of many visits to this little piece of chocolate heaven! Everything we have had - hot chocolate, chocolate cake, chocolate desserts, their signature chocolate mice - has been absolutely amazing. It's usually crowded, but if you are lucky enough to get a table, it's a great place to people watch and savor your treat.

The service is always excellent, and while it may be a little pricey, it is honestly worth the splurge!
