I loved everything about The Charles, from the location right on Harvard Square to the quietly efficient, personable staff, who took care of all requests promptly. Rooms were tastefully appointed, with quilts on the beds that looked handmade. Beds were super comfy and warm. Despite being on a very busy square, no street noise reached the rooms. There was plenty of sunlight from the large window that looked out onto the patio (other rooms have views across Cambridge and even Boston). An array of Boston-related magazines were thoughtfully placed in the bedside table drawer. Toiletries were from EO (all natural and made with essential oils). Towels and robes were all satisfyingly thick and soft. An in-mirror television in the bathroom helped maintain family peace and enhanced bathtime. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that membership in an enticing gym next door with a lap pool and many fitness classes was complimentary! My only "complaint" is that I couldn't stay longer...or maybe even move in!! 10 out of 10!
