We used Aram's No 2 for a late night dinner in our hotel after a big day of touring. Great pizza with prompt delivery.

“Good delivery service, good pizza”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

We ordered a pizza to our hotel room at the Hampton Inn. The pizza was delivered on time and was reasonably priced. It was also very good!

“Aram's No 2 makes classic subs cheap”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

When you are in East Cambridge looking for an inexpensive lunch or late night snack or meal, Aram's #2 is a good option. The friendly staff of pizza/sub makers have been doing this for decades, and their success is no surprise. In this small storefront sub shop, you will be presented with a large variety of sub sandwiches in two sizes. They use the freshest cold cuts and toppings, and will adjust to your out-of-town quirky topping choices reluctantly, but cheerfully. The subs will be made consistently, dependably good and are an incredible value for the low prices. You can always get an instant slice of their pizza while you wait for your sandwich.
How do they know, other than by your accent, you are an out-of-towner? By your topping requests, of course. A native Bostonian will NEVER, I repeat NEVER aks for mayonnaise on an Italian sub. Italian subs come with oil and if you insist, vinegar. But mayo? You have to be kidding........ Mayo on a classic Italian is unthinkable in the old Italian neighborhoods of East Cambridge, Somerville, Medford, and in the North End. If locals hear you ask for mayo, they will audibly groan in disgust and shake their heads at your ignorance. If you insist on breaking this cultural taboo, and insist on mayo to top your salami, mortadella and provolone sub (classic Italian), just whisper the forbidden word to your friendly counterman, and make sure the customer behind you isn't standing too close. If you want to keep a low profile and pass as a local, ask for a "Lahge Italian wit everyding, including hots". DO NOT PR0NOUNCE THE "R" IN LARGE, OR YOUR COVER WILL BE BLOWN!

Aram's no 2 subs are very close to the classic subs we used to get in all the local ma and pa sub shops that existed in most neighborhoods in the 1950's. Normal toppings are onions, tomatoes, pickles, banana peppers, oregano, salt and pepper, oil and vinegar. One secret to Aram's no 2 having the freshest subs is they get fresh sub rolls from Central bakery a few streets away with deliveries twice a day, so your roll is never less than 6 hours from the bakery. They typically will heat your roll in the pizza oven too, unless you ask for it cold.....
Another "out-of-town" addition is shredded lettuce. Although East Cambridge natives never order lettuce on an Italian sub, considered sacrilege to the original Italian immigrants, mostly from Naples' Avelino district. Aram's will add lettuce if you ask for it however because so many clueless students from OTB (other than Boston) ask for it. It just got too annoying saying no.
Anything you order here will be good. Steak and cheese, meatballs, cold cuts, chicken parmagiana, you name it, they have it all. They only have about six tables, so come before or after the main rush or you may have to wait for seat. Be careful and observe the obtuse and unforgiving Cambridge parking regulations. Some sign posts have 4 signs to decipher, even in meter zones. Parking will cost you .25 for 15 minutes, so drop in 4 quarters. If you have the unlucky experience of not realizing this was the one day in a month they clean the streets, you will have to pay over $100 it retrieve your towed vehicle. Best option is to walk there. The mayor appreciates it. Alternatively, Aram's No 2 delivers for your convenience. The staff is very friendly and will accommodate your special requests, even mayo...(yuck!). If you want to take some subs on your ride to your own state, they will pack your oil and vinegar separately, and make sure you have a roll from the afternoon delivery....

“good pizza”

Found this pizza place on Tripadvisor while staying in Somerville. Good pizza; sauce flavorful; not too tomatoey or sweet.

“Changed owners recently, not as good”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013 via mobile

This was my go to spot for quick and delicious burgers, subs and, oh, the best cheap and fast steak tips with grilled pita. Yum! The menu is the same but the quality has gone down. Meat is overcooked, no more 1/2 onion rings 1/2 fries, and other little changes that have moved it down on my list.
