“Comfort and calm”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2013

This hotel is in an odd location. I stayed as I was on business but not sure who the location would be good for. It's at a set of lights, not in the centre and opposite a modern mall. However it's delightful building - apparently an old abbey. Behind the walls, it's an oasis of calm. Stylishly restored and rambling with lots of exposed brickwork. My room was very comfortable with open beams, wood flooring with rugs and good quality fittings. I had a very peaceful night's sleep with no external traffic noise. The bathroom was very well fitted and everything was spotless. I didn't have breakfast but joined colleagues in the beautiful restaurant for a fabulous dinner. The room is simple but focuses the eye on the wonderful frescoes and trompe l'eau on the walls, all apparently original. A very comfortable one night stay with the highlight of classic Italian cooking of a very high standard. Thoroughly recommended if you don't need Milan central or great views.

Room Tip: Accidentally hit button for fitness centre - no idea if there is one.

I stayed here very recently as I was attending a conference at the local university. The rooms are wonderful, with character and elegance. I was on the 5th floor and the wooden beams and were sympathetic to this beautifully restored building. The breakfast is held in a norther part of the building which is adorned with fresco paintings. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh and the staff exceptionally polite and helpful. A real delight, would highly recommend

Room Tip: The breakfast is an elegant delight, don't rush the experience

The hotel was very nice, spacious, good value for money, the restaurant service was great ( the lady who served us was very efficient) but the food was average. Service at the reception was very very good. Rooms were great and for the price very good. The only addition i think they need to add is a shuttle service to the nearest metro stop and it would be a perfect hotel since the cab rides to the city and back are quite expensive.. not malpensa expensive but pricey. Overall, great experience.

This hotel is conveniently located at the doors of Milano.
The location is stunning as it is an old villa (I guess dating back to XVI century) which has been fully restored in line with the original style.
We slept in a beautiful room at the 4th floor, with timber roof and very comfortable bed and amenities.
The hotel is very silent and peaceful notwithstanding the fact you are immediately on big roads heading toward Milan.
The restaurant is located in a wing of the villa full of frescos.
Great breakfast and professional service.

Usually a choice for business trip, it deserves a stop even when travelling for leisure and definitely worth the visit.

Room Tip: Corner suites are slighly bigger. we had a room on the highest floor (#431), the extra height and t...

I have been staying on a business trip lately.
The hotel is an old villa (small palace) surrounded by a nice garden.
There is a shopping center across the street including a food corner for a quick bite.
Many major corporations have their offices close by, but it is about 25-30 minutes by taxi to the city center.

I stayed here recently on business and had a great experience. The area around the hotel is not the most salubrious but once inside the grounds, you really are spoilt. Good, professional, multi-lingual & attentive staff, rooms that would be classified as suites almost anywhere else, comfortable beds and quiet at night, all that one could ask for. As a couple of others have said, the WiFi issue could be addressed as the facility wasn't particularly conducive to me getting a lot of work done, but I could manage. I cannot vouch for the restaurant as I only breakfasted here, but this meal was more than adequate and ticked all the relevant boxes

Beautiful and well restored Villa situated next to a large public parc area with children`s playground. Easy to go around with the subway being only a short walk away. Very nice and helpful staff. The rooms are really huge but comfortable and well equipped. Wireless connection should be improved - did not work properly in the rooms. Breakfast was excellent and served all international tastes. Car parking was free of charge on the hotel grounds.

Room Tip: We stayed in 131 and 132 and were highly satisfied.
