“Relax at it's best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2010

After visiting Rome we came to Villa Clementina to take a rest

Villa Clementina is a great place to relax, some miles outside of Bracciano. It is a very nice, small hotel (with only 7 rooms) with a beautiful garden, a tennis court, Boccia and a swimming pool at the lower end of the garden.

All personnell, incl. and especially the owner and his family, where extremely helpful and friendly and we felt like members of the family from the first moment.

The meals were excellent, the wine list offering a good assortment and not overcharging.
The double room we had offered a lot of space, the bath room as well. Everything was clean and looked after every day.

My wife and me felt this was one of the most gorgeous places we have been at when traveling in Europe and for sure will go there again

We stayed at the Villa Clementina for two nights after our daughter's wedding at the Castello Odescalchi - other guests at the wedding took up the rest of the rooms. From the excellent welcome to the time we left, the staff looked after us well beyond the call of duty allowing us to have a very late and leisurely breakfast which lasted until lunchtime. After the other guests left we were able to have a very relaxed afternoon in the beautiful grounds and by the pool, followed by an excellent dinner in the evening. The standard of rooms, the cuisine and the general ambience were superb and we were extremely sorry to leave.

Great location near Lake Bracciano, set in beautiful manicured gardens.

Rooms are comfortable, each individually decorated with frescoes. The owner is an artist and this place has a really unique personality.

Dinner in the hotel's small restaurant was lovely, really attentive staff, friendly and genuinely helpful.

We would definitely recommend this as a unique experience.

The hotel is set in magnificent well kept gardens and is very quiet. Staff and owner were friendly and very helpful. The meals were exceptional. The room was large and the bed very comfortable.

We were initially inpressed at how easy and well signed posted the Hotel was from Rome airport, it took only 40mins. The villa and its beautiful grounds feel like an unspoilt corner of Italy. The food was delicious , our room was perfect - decorated with flamboyant murals and with a second bedroom for our two boys. A babysitting service was also provided for one evening - which was excellent. Two days into our stay and we held our wedding reception here, we had never seen the Villa up until our arrival, we just thought it looked nice on-line! It surpassed all our expectations and our guests could'nt believe we had found such a place! Dimitri and his family cooked for us and made special meals for our children, they took the stress away from our entire stay with them. Which was quite alot considering our family and friends took over the entire villa for several nights! It was romantic, charming and easy for the kids - we cant wait to go back for our anniversary!

We first discovered Bracciano on a day trip by train (2.70Euro each from Ostiense station Rome) and were enchanted by it. The lake sits in an ancient volcanic crater, with beautiful peaceful shore line and mountains in the backdrop. Bracciano town is a lovely medieval town with narrow cobbled streets rising up above the lake to the 13C castle overlooking the whole scene.
Fortunately for us the volcanic ash from Iceland forced us to stay in Italy longer than planned so we re-located to Bracciano and discovered the delightful Villa Clementina. It is really a little bit of paradise, set in its own grounds just outside Bracciano. The staff are extremely friendly (a BIG GRAZIE to Faustus for picking us up from the station) and so hospitable. The seven rooms are delightfully themed with frescoes to match the room name. The dining room is cozy with real fire and the food delicious.
Please don't tell too many people about Villa Clementina, we want to be able to get a room next time too ;-)

This is our second visit to Villa Clementina and it gets better each time. We can't think how it might be improved. On the edge of a forest leading down to the lake at Bracciano the individual garden apartments are decorated with simplicity and style. There is a lot of privacy if you want it, plus a lovely new pool, tennis court and gardens in which to wander.
Each individual villa is decorated differently and is very spacious.
Dinner in the dining room or on the patio is most enjoyable with a choice of regional food and wine and the sense of being treasured family guests. Only 40 km from Rome airport, with security parking, it is a great place to come to get over jet lag and begin the relaxation a holiday brings.
We are looking forward to the next time we can visit.
