This is the best hotel in Liguria. Near the beach, witn beatiful swimming pool and restaurant. The service is very good and rooms are clean and great.Surely I will return next year.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2007

The first view of this hotel, the carpet on the front steps was torn and an amateur attempt had been made to stitch it together (this was repaired before we left, as was dangerous). My room was fine, apart from the fact that the shower doors didn't shut properly so water ended up all over the floor. One of our group had raw sewage coming up in her toilet, and there were leaks in two of the public loos. The decor was tired and dark, giving a gloomy feel to the hotel.

The food: dull to say the least, the first main course was an insipid-looking leg of chicken dumped on a plate with some boiled potatoes, in fact I only really enjoyed one meal at this hotel. On our gala night, when it was time to serve the dessert, the waitresses
and chef came dancing round the room with a dessert with a sparkler stuck in it, and whirling a serviette in the other hand - quite good fun, but the dessert (tiramisu) had obviously not been taken out of the freezer too long before and was very cold, and therefore didn't live up to its promise. The lady owner was a veritable dragon and came round to collect the money for the drinks at dinner, whilst we were still at the table. We did have some nice music on one evening, the only bright spot on this part of the holiday really (it was a two-centre holiday). I would not recommend this resort, there is traffic thundering by and not a lot else going on, difficult to find things to do, although there are a few little shops by the beach that
are open at night..Diano Marina is just 3 mins away by bus and that really is nice, plus we did trips to South of France and I really enjoyed that. But not much to recommend this hotel at all.

  • Liked — I had double room with balcony, though was expecting a single room.
  • Disliked — Food, location, grubby-looking.
