“Came for breakfast, happily.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2012

Our flight arrived early and Blue lagoon was not open yet so we swung over for breakfast. They were very courteous and kind. The cost for coffee only was such that we went for the full breakfast which was very reasonable and included the GREAT coffee. It has nice views of mountains and the pleasingly designed geothermal power-plant. The breakfast was a complete buffet of the type found in Iceland so we got to sample it all on our first morning, including the various, fishes, meats and cheeses, very wholesome breads and cereals and the aforementioned great coffee. We had travel questions and the hostess directed us to the desk where we got some great advice and directions for a side trip via Grindavik and Krisuvik, rather than taking the road directly to Reykjavik. If we just had a late night stopover in Iceland I would consider staying here but would otherwise get out to other destinations. Not much to do in the neighborhood other than Blue Lagoon.

“Pretty good for Iceland”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2012

Service was fast and friendly. The food was well prepared. The main thing we noticed in Iceland, and least in the hotels where we stayed was that there was a "sameness" to the food throughout, e.g. the same 3 desserts were offered in each location. They were chocolate cake, ice cream and "skyr."

“Must dine at this restaurant if you are staying in this hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2012

One word: Devine!

Please have a look at the photos of the food and you can judge it yourself. It is very expensive but save a little bit of money before you dine in this restaurant. Its all worth it.

Tips: For dessert, we ordered Icelandic Skyr and it was so good. It was very light and healthy. Highly reccommend!

“captive audience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2012

unless you're willing to drive the 15 miles to Keflavik, this is the only restaurant available if you stay at the hotel. Decent, but very limited choice...

“Well priced and tasty”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2012

This is very well priced for Iceland, especially considering there isn't much choice around the Northern Lights Inn for food. I also thoroughly enjoyed my meal - salad starter, chicken and veg main and lots of fantastic chocolate delights for desert.
