We booked a stay at the late-Victorian Henry Mischler House in October, 2001 because of its location at the edge of the Lincoln Historic Park. The b & b is clean, comfortable, and chock full of antiques that Roger, the owner, has picked up during the course of renovating the house. Roger and his cat Tomasina made us feel very welcome. Our bedroom, the Henry and Louise suite, was beautifully decorated, with luxurious coverings on the bed. In the morning, Roger fixed us a gourmet breakfast of fruit, porridge and pastries.
No cars are allowed in the 4-block Historic Park so we walked over to the Lincoln House at twilight. We felt like we had stepped back into the mid-19th century--a truly magical experience. We highly reommend the Mischler House to anyone who enjoys Victorian ambiance.
