The Lincoln-Herndon law office is an interesting building. Lincoln had an office on the 2nd floor and then the third floor. There is an orginal desk that Lincoln used and the floors are 80% original. The guide was well informed and entertaining. He actually helped us to understand a display at the Lincoln Museum. A lot of the furniture is vintage but not from Lincoln. All of the are recreations. On the first floor there is a recreation of the first post office and on the third floor there is a courtroom set up. Our guide explained that the area was actually storage during the time of Lincoln. There is no admission fee but donations are welcome. There are a lot of steps to climb. I think there might be an elevator but no one on our tour used it.
