we reserved 2 rooms for our family and we were stuck in traffic jam cause of an accident on I 55. the clerk from the hotel called us at 10 p.m to make sure if we were coming or not so they can decide to sell our room or not .......... i really liked that cause in past it happened in springfield that one of the major chain hotels sold our rooms with out even calling us.

it was clean, peaceful and the most i liked is it was smoke free environment ............. the pool and spa was excellent as they had nice techno music playing.

in the morning the breakfast room was overcrowded, we were afraid if they are going to run out of things before we get them. but we had a nice breakfast. the only thing i didnt like is the breakfast room is little small and we had to have our breakfast without chairs as there were people occupying all the tables and chairs .......... but overall very nice stay ........... very nice service too ......... will stay again for sure

Could not find a place to stay..., we just walked into Baymont inn and they had a vacancy for us. Great staff, took care a problem professionally.

Husband and I decided to overnight in Springfield on our way north for Labor Day weekend. We stayed on a Thursday night, and chose this hotel for the cost/quality.

Mind you, we've stayed in 4-star hotels in Italy (5 starts is more than we want or need), and we've stayed in veritable crack-motels (only once, and we've learned our lesson).

Our experience was that this was a serviceable hotel, clean, and an easy drive to downtown. Would I want to stay here for more than one night? Nope.

Would I stay here for a family function? Probably not.

But traveling guests will find this a nice respite, and definitely quieter than a downtown stay in Springfield, where the trains run at all hours of the night/early morning.

The breakfast bar was quite good, as well.

We stayed two nights during the week.
Bad: The chlorine in hot tub so strong, we could not use. Stains on sheets. Had to get clean sheets and towels and make bed myself. Asked for clean sheets for king bed and was given queen sheets so I had to make another trip downstairs to get correct size. Maid service did not come. Hole in wall that was badly patched. Staff were rude about complaints. Confirmed correct rate at check-in and were charged higher rate at check-out. Had to show email from TripRewards to get correct rate. Good: Bathroom was clean. Large TV. Overall: Not worth the price.
