Absolute worst hotel experience for customer service I have ever had. After booking a king parlor suite more than a month in advance, upon checking in at 4:30 pm I was informed that the King Parlor suite had been over booked and we were the last to arrive. At which point we were downgraded into a queen suite. The over booking and down grade are unfortunate, but the charges were ridiculous. After being downgraded into a queen suite, after receiving my copy of the bill the next morning I realized that I was charged the same price, as if I had stayed in the King Parlor Suite. I raised this to the attention of check in counter and was informed that, that was the price and there was nothing they could do about it and that the difference was less than $5 anyway. To myself and all of my traveling experience, and every other person I discussed the situation with, this was absolutely ridiculous. To be downgraded into a room that at the time I booked was more than 40$ cheaper, but to be charged the same price is highly upsetting. Needless to say, this was not a good experience and I will not be staying at a Magnolia Hotel again.
